Roma surrectum, the only real rtw experience
Hey guys sorry for posting this, but i just need a quick recap of this awesome mod
1. whats the latest release of this mod and where can i download it?
2. Is the modding team working on ver1.5 or 2.0 right now?
Thanks so much!
If you have installed RS before, then this is the most recent hotfix: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showp...95&postcount=2
Although if you havent got it already, i would wait a few days because 1.5 is due any day now and it wont be save game compatible so no real point of starting a campaign on the old one

Thanks MarcusTullius! I haven't download it before, i guess i'll wait for 1.5
Awww...you'll bring it up and say: "What? They made RTW II already?!"

OK, time for another unit snapshot, as the full preview of the Celtic faction isn't quite there yet. So we thought we'd continue in the Christmas spirit of and show this.
These are Volcae axemen and will be available as an AOR unit in the southern part of modern day France.
The Volcae were Celtic people in the province of Gallia Narbonensis, who occupied the district between the Garumna (Garonne), Cerbenna mons (Cevennes), and the Rhodanus (or even farther to the east in earlier times), corresponding roughly to the old province of Languedoc. They were divided into two tribes, the Arecomici on the east and the Tectosages (whose territory included that of the Tolosates) on the west, separated by the river Arauris (Herault) or a line between the Arauris and Orbis (Orbe). The Volcae were free and independent, had their own laws, and possessed the jus Latii. The chief town of the Tectosages was Tolosa (Toulouse); of the Arecomici, Nemausus (Nimes); the capital of the province and residence of the governor was Narbo Martius (Narbonne). It was said that there was an early settlement of Volcae Tectosages near the Hercynia Silva in Germany; Tectosages was also the name of one of the three great communities of Gauls who invaded and settled in Asia Minor in the country called after them Galatia. They also appear to have particpated in the sacking of Delphi and carried their booty west with them to settle in Gallia Narbonensis.
We have given them a slightly more central / eastern European feel to reflect their origins, with scale as opposed to chainmail and a Negau type helmet combining elements from these...
1) Helmet found in Switzerland with reinforced central spine and finials...
2) Gallic warrior depicted on some of Julius Caesar's coins...
- see http://kernunnos.com/culture/warriors/index.html for further details.
They carry an axe (many hordes of axeheads have been found in Gallic regions) and, although depicted here with an anthropomorphic (like a man) dagger as secondary weapon, will ultimately wield javelins as their primary weapon before closing with the axe. Additionally they wear an embossed and studded leather "apron" similar to those worn by earlier Celts and seemingly depicted on some of Caesar's coins.
Beautiful!
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

Wow, simply stunning!
I think, personally, that its the best one yet

great job on the scales and the shield looks nice!
will they be able to do warcry?
great axemen
since 1.5 won't be released this week, i really want to donwload RS 1.0 now, Rss 1.0 not hotfix. Can anyone post the link as well as directions? i will really really appreciate it.
QUick questiosn about this fantastic mod... are unit cards original and match the soldiers on the battlefield? How long will it take average to complete a campaign? Do greek hoplites thrust their spears downward or just like the pikemen who hold it straight?
Thanks again
