    We really don't.

Looks good, but imperial legions are my forte.

Yeah, I basically knew what this kind of mask can be used for, but I like the way it's done; it's like his helmet and his mask are one with his face... Truly intimidating.

Yeah, bring out those Imperials. My favourite too.

Variety's going to be the motto for Rome. There were no Polaroids from the age of Rome, so very little concrete evidence is left in terms of shield patterns, when what legion received what equipment, what color tunics were used, etc. We're looking for everything to naturally evolve over time, no scripts, no "pre-made" Marian reforms. Same way it is in the modern military. Just because Lorica Segmentata was invented, didn't mean every single legionnaire received it on that day.

Great skinner? nah...I've much to learn... I do lots of google image search and grab pics of real equipment when I can. You'd be amazed how much better detail comes from bumping skins from 256 to 512.... but then the originals were intended for 256, so you have to re-vamp everything.

I'd LOVE for some sort of "master archive" of textures to be created.... make a nice big pallete for me to pick and grab from. Metals are a special sort of pain to scratch-make. just getting the colors and tones correct.. uuhhhhh

Believe you me, there's plenty to do. i still have to re-uvw the lower-res models of the imperial legionnaire, plus likely many more models. But then, I've become a well oiled machine after a bit. Trust me though, the other factions besides Rome (there are other factions?) are gonna blow your pants off.

from what I've been able to find, the little capes in RTW just don't seem to fit. Legionnaires had cloaks for wear on the march, which doubled as their bedroll, but as far as combat, I haven't really found anything. Seems like a similar situation to the spartan's red cloaks, and whethere they wore them in battle.
