Well, if everyone was making one, I might as well too! This is on VH/VH.
This starts rather late in my campaign, it begins at 233 BC. I have advanced many of my cities to huge status, I have all of my cities heavily fortified, and I have two legions and two supporting armies in Italy.
Gaul has made a peace that I am sure will be (I was right) short lived. In Northern Italy, I have a full stack of Elite Cavalry that have stomped at least a dozen massive Gallic assaults on Italy. They will soon test their mettle again...
In this first screen, you can see the situation in Northern Italy, and to the Northwest, you can observe a large Gallic army. I also have one of three elite fleets docked at Genau, these guard the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas.
The following screen shows the fleet that guards the Adriatic, and the two supporting armies in Southern Italy.
This screen shows my two legions assaulting Carthaginian islands, here you can see one of the fleets docked at Genau, with the other split in two to support the legions. Those battles will be featured later.
This screen shows one of my most talented assassins, he is part of a task force of about half a dozen that are charged with slaughtering enemy agents and family members to the north.
This screen shows the predictable Gallic assault to the north. You can see how they are moving in full force to assault me. I have already killed two family members of the assailants before this attack.
Here are the pre battle stats.
The following battle went VERY surprisingly well. I expected far worse considering the number of enemies. I split my force into four groups, 1,3,4 are to charge and distract the enemy army to the left flank. As they try to sweep around and surround me, group two will crush them.
This did not happen. The enemy must have tried to run to higher ground, or retreat completely, because I just ran them down... Cool screens though!
More to come! Probably with fewer screens though....
