Icon5 Modding on Nap total war 1

At first, please excuse my strange english, I come from Salzburg, and english is preatty hard for me.....

Hallo together, I have a few questions concerning modding on Nap 1 total war:

How can I add new portraits for the campaign?
I mean, does the portrait have to have this golden frame arround it?

I am not sure about the adding of new units in the game.
When I open files like CUSTOM 1 there are the .BIF files, which are including the units, but there are another files, like Potugesemilitia_W.text or AustrianIrregularInfantry_W.text.
In this files there are only numbers, like 2 or 1.
I am not sure what the numbers are meaning.:hmmm:

    Hope ypu know it.

This is the wrong forum to ask such questions on. Please go to the MTW forums.
