Participants:
One participant from each of the three major parties will be chosen each week. The participant chosen should have these important characteristics
1. Has served high office, such as Consul or Tribune, no Censors or Princeps.
2. Has either won re-election, is up for re-election, or has recently lost an election.
3. Should not have participated before (once everyone has participated we can begin to choose again.)
The debaters will be invited to a chatroom on Xfire called the 'You are the Senate debate!" along with anyone who wants to observe. There they will face questions from the moderators.
Moderators:
1. Someone who can be impartial
2. Will ask questions on a clearly defined set of topics which can include War, Trade, the Economy, class Rights, Faction goals, etc.
3. Must restrain members in the 'audience' that become to vocal and cause disruption, maybe even kicking them out.*
* its okay for the audience to respond, but we don't want a battle erupting in the chatroom
Audience:
Everyone who can participate should. Audience members should remain quiet as much as possible, but may respond at any time.
There will be a point in the debate in which the audience will be allowed to ask questions. They should be brief, but do not have to be impartial in the least. If the moderator finds a question to be too ridiculous, he has the right to block it.
