    Default Possible missing crusaders in CAE 1.3

    Hi Zephrelial

    My compliments on what I condsider to be the best mod for M2TW hands down! I've been going through the mod and I might be missing them but I can't find a few key crusaders. I've located Godfrey of Bouillon and Baldwin of Boulogne in Jerusalem. And I've found Robert of Normandy. But I can't seem to find the following key crusaders.

    Raymond of Toulouse

    Bohemond of Otaronto (couldn't find his father, Robert Guiscard either)

    Robert II of Flanders

    Stephen of Blois (married to Willaim the Conqueror's daughter, Adela)

    Hugh of Vermandois

    Tancred of Hauteville (teenaged nephew of Bohemond and an accomplished knight in his own right)

    If they are not in the mod is there any chance of adding them into CAE 1.4? I've tried to add them but I do not have the modding skills and my modding attempts crashed the game.

    PS Are the ages of named characters hard coded into the game? Rufus is actually younger than Robert of Normandy and William the Conqueror should be about 2 years older. When I tried to change the ages, CAE would not load. I suspect it has something to do with the game's core files.

    Thank you for saying that CAE is the best mod of mtw2 also I'm happy that you like and enjoy the mod.If all goes well in the future versions CAE will advance 1 step further in terms of gameplay and depth,also historical accuracy.

    It's normal that you weren't able to find the crusaders that you named.They are not in the mod yet.

    As for the answer of your question,I'd like to give you and others a general idea what can be expected from CAE in the future versions so you may find your answer:

    CAE v1.4

    There will be 3 new factions in CAE v1.4 and with them the max faction limit will be reached.Therefore in all honesty I can say CAE players shouldn't expect new factions from there on.

    Those New 3 factions and their progress statuse are as followed:

    - Kingdom of Georgia (Completed)
    - Kingdom of Sweden (In progress)
    - Undecided faction (Not started)

    After this the major visual part of CAE regarding banners,logos,unit textures etc. will be completed.

    So from that point on with the release of CAE v1.4 here are the points I'll concentrate:

    -map
    -Coding
    -Scripting
    -Balancing
    -Implementation of unique ideas to the mod using the engine effectively.
    -possible Kingdoms edition CAE

    Currently one may realize that the weakest part of CAE are:

    - Lacking of graphical material such as newly-modeled units or strat models.
    - Lacking of historical and unique gameplay depth such as new ancillaries,new event triggers,their effects,scripted alliances,or emerging threats etc.

    So in that case your suggestion is welcomed and sound I intend to work on each new faction and then the vanilla factions think what can be done about them in terms of giving all of them more identity and diversity in every sense.

    Enclosing when the factions will be completed,the real work on CAE will start I can easily say.

    I have a question ( again) about the 1.4

    Will it be released after the third faction is done, Because most bugs and ctd's that followed with the 1.3 are fixed? Or will you do something else with it? Some hidden suprise

    And I was wondering if you will remove the mongol invasion from 1.4 ?

    *new merc units would add some fun new flavor
    *new city/castles added to parts of Russia and Northern Africa

    Id also like to see the new units and events that Kingdoms had in the game

    This is a very important question.And as for the answer I'm kind of hesitant about.

    1-I will either release CAE v1.4 when all the new factions are completed.. Or
    2- I will release v1.4 when at least half of the new stuff is implemented.

    People have waited quite long for CAE v1.4 as 3 factions are done the progress is quite slow,although one of the factions are out of the way.So should I release it when those factions are completed,and release all the new stuff in v1.5?

    Or again from the same perspective people have waited long for v1.4 would it better if they waited more for the new stuff to be included in v1.4?

    I'll need some personal answers to these questions,I even think about a poll regarding it.

    As for the mongol invasion Eranshahr I've answered this before,which is no and I'm not changing my mind about this issue
