Me thinks not, BC is a very socialistic modification which grants that every faction is equally worth.
*caugh*
No but really, I think there is none that is really centered, its like asking what faction is main in Crusades campaign.
And btw was England a main faction in M2TW :hmmm:... only reason would be that CA has an office there
While its obvious why the Romans were a "main" faction in RTW.
We like to say that Khwarezm is our symbolic, or perhaps, center, faction as the early part of the mod (1170-1220) is about their rise as the de facto Eastern Power before the Mongols arrived. However, like Arsen says BC really is an ensemble cast. There's no main character, though there are center-players.
Khwarezm? Maybe when I started the mod, but as of now BC has no central or "main" faction. There maybe certain "major" factions, but all factions have gotten their fair spotlight in BC. Some have more units or stronger units than others, but thats to create diversity and maintain some historical relevance.
could be
but i remember thoose three as central factions i know there are more

Can units be created with a pair of swords or double maces or an axe and sword. Do they have to have a shield?
Mirage, I know you are including Richard I and Phillip II with the Crusaders when they arrive in the Middle East, but I can't recall if you were also including a stack representing either Frederick Barbarosa (as a what if he hadn't drowned) or his son Frederick II, arriving via Anatolia (I believe after being allowed to pass through Turk held lands, they went into Armenia where Frederick I died when his horse threw him in a river). While most of the Germans gave up, a force under Frederick II did continue on and made their way to Phillip's camp (Phillip and Richard, by this time had become bitter rivals, due in part to Phillip's hurt feelings that Richard married, and would no longer be Phillip's lover, and set up seperate camps).
