I BEG FOR MERCY!
sorry,i should have been more precise:
LEVY PHALANGITES:very good
MEDIUM PHALANGITES:good
HEAVY PHALANGITES:good
ARGYRASPIDES PHALANGITES:too...how can i say? noble,rich...ok,they were elite troops, but i think a too showy wearing in battle is strange..
the infantry is ok but the ARMOURED THORAKITAI or whatever, that cataphract unit...i mean, are they able to walk and breathe with all that iron???
WOW, wicked awesome!! Nice work guys! I'm looking forward to see these skins ingame! Realy, nice work !
Horum omnium fortissimi sunt Belgae.
well, you were complaining that they might'nt be able to breathe through that chainmail on their face - medieval knights had solid helmets with visors that at best had a few slits through which to breathe! so if they managed (just) then the thorakitai argyraspides (how off was i with the spelling, by the way? ) ought to be able to deal with it!

The truth is, a lot of what was done in the Middle Ages was simply rediscovering weapons, armor and tactics that had been developed in the Classical period, from chainmail to crossbows to the pike phalanx to heavily armored horsemen. The weapons and tactics of the 2nd century BC were extremely advanced, far more so than is commonly acknowledged.

ya another thing ... will there be ballistas ... and onigers ?
Tonight we dine in hades!
But of course... how else are you going to rain flaming death down upon those smelly horsemen?
Of course, what's an RTW mod with Ballistrades and Omakers?

Its fair to say that I had to go and change my pants when I saw that.
youd be suprised how much stamina these people had, far more then modern man today i believe, not to mention layering of protective clothing actually cools you down.
more of them just being men and sweating it out though, although my catas are a tad armoured. i might have to change that...
Oh don't I LOVE them!!
