Medes

whats gonna be done with the Medes? are they gonna have the same replica of the persian armies or are they just placeholder units for now cos i understand they were very similar.

and if anyone has good sources on the Medes and their army could you please send em this way

Oh the Medes are well under development - only require a few more tweaks. They were quite similar to the Persians, though had way more archery.

I think that the Medes also relied heavily on cavalry as when Persia annexed that empire it was sia dthat the medes were required to give a tributed of Nisean (sp?) mounts which were rumoured to be the best horses in the ancient world. Although don't take my word for it I was just looking in a few books.

You're right. They did have excellent horse cavalry, and will have equally excellent ones in ROP

The Medes are set to quite a powerful nation. At this point in history they commanded the largest empire in the world and an equally large army.

They have a more cavalry orientated army than Persia with Scythian influences and a much richer appearance than the Persians.

If you were afraid we had simply made a mirror faction you won't have to worry at all. I promise.
