well i just started playing the native campaign yesterday with .892 and i was shocked how much more difficult it is the TLD mod. ive been way to used to the enemy being mostly melee troops with the occasional archery. but i start out, grab a nice horse, and go into battle and notice the enemy holding position on a hill across the map and i have to cross a valley where im being pelted by dozens of arrows. ive been to used to charging in and thinning out their numbers, but i cant do that now, so my battlefield casualties are going to be high.

with the huge amounts of archers i might actually have to carry multiple shields for once just so when my horse is shot out from under me, i can get within range after my first shield breaks.

is there an easier way to deal with archers in the new version?
