Well, if you only like light "women's beer" type-o stuff, and you're looking for a CHEAP 24 pack, I think the best (more like least-worst) would be Blue dry, or Molson light (pretty much the same thing, iirc, though technically, Molson is now owned by an American), at least they are better than Bud, IMHO. However, if you're low on cash, you might as well not waste it on that, and get one of those real cheap, nasty, 10-15% .75L (or however big they are) bottles (which, I think , Blue make as well).

As far as more expensive Canadian beer, the only ones I know of, are the Quebec beers like the Maudite and uh, I forget the other one. But they are about twice as expensive (I think a six pack costs the same as a 12 or even 24 pack of the cheaper stuff) and I wouldn't say they are really great, though they do get you drunk faster being about 8-11%.

hmm, haven't seen that stuff in Quebec... but often you can get a 2-4 for 2-4, or pretty close, deal on stuff like Carlesburg or Alex Keith's, which I would prefer to any Bud-like beer. BTW, where is Alex Keith's from?

    Release the hounds.

Most good Canadian beers are ales. MOst easily available would be Unibroue's

To be honest I have only ever sampled

I drink it regularly both bottled and on draft. I think it's rather tasty.
The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.

I'll be in Toronto in two weeks going to the wedding of an old drinking buddy of mine. I'm sure I'll be introduced to all sorts of Canadian beers. Sigh, the best part of traveling IMO, discovering local brews.
