We're currently planning out some new innovations and searching for graphics artists.

Ya this is an awesome game hope it gets better, maybe more units. Also there is a problem with the spartan family tree, they don't have everyone in the family on it...

May I suggest a reskin of the trees ? The midle sized trees that are everywhere now are stupid .You can't have the nicest units fighting among dull vegetation !

But I don't know how we can reskin/remodel trees - so if someone else has done it before, that'd be great.

forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=157 In this site I met instructions on how to reskin trees,though not ready made trees .Since I am not a modder at all ,I didn't try .But a guy had posted screens of his "attempt" trees with remarkable results ...

Rise Of Persia was the one of the fist ever mod's i tried, and i loved it .

I play this mod now again because it´s so great.
This mod is maybe not so great as RTR or the Modifications for RTR (e.g.FRRE)
but actually after RTR,the best TOTAL canversation mod is RoP!

RTR cannot be compared with ROP !!! I sign myself under this .The most historical units are in ROP .look at the egyptians,babylonians and persians if not the greeks -where are similar things even ? ROP is the top .I am only waiting the bugs and crashes to be solved to play it again .
When I remember now the athenian hoplites with the enermous feathers on the helmet,I think nothing better was ever made !

Hmm you might want to check out the Athenai faction again - they surely have unique hoplites.

I played a Babylon campaign that was nothing short of epic, it was like something out of the Bible I tell ya. This timeframe is so.. ancient and mysterious, almost legendary. Totally unlike any other mod. RTR is great, but there are dozens of mods set during that timeframe... but only one RoP!

Exactly ! When I look at the babylonian units I feel in the beginning of time .Besides what artefacts I've seen in arts books from the period -they exactly match the mod units -there are some sculptures of persian warriors same as the mod ones ! Great job .This I call historical accuracy .

My favourite unit however remain the helmet feathered athenian elite hoplites

although, were the sparabara and takabara really dressed in bright reds and oranges? i think it lookes yucky to have bright red/orange levy troops.

in my opinion they should be toned down to more brownish/greyish colours.
