Communism, A Lesson in Logic

This is going to be a bit of a longwinded rant on the Evils of Communism, expect much satire, many quotes from Ayn Rand, and a Lenin with red skin. Speaking as a former Communist; I am well-versed in its literature, so if anyone wants to challenge it’s basic system.


The Communist Manifesto opens with the lines, “A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of Communism. All the Powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Czar, Metternich and Guizot, FrenchRadicals and Germanpolice-spies.”

Despite the errors, the Communist Manifesto does get one thing right, Communism would become a spectre, as in a dead soul without a real body.

Let’s look at what would happen in theory,

1. Revolution in-which the “Bourgeois” (everyone that did’nt work in a factory or anyone that made more then the lower side of Average Wages) Bourgeois supposedly either give up or are all executed.
2. Dictatorship of the Proletariat, the majority rules and gets what they want, everyone is treated equally, no one “owns” anything.
3. Decline of Dictatorship, beginning of no Government at all and complete Anarchy with Humans sharing and being kind.

Well Communism, gets number one done REALLY quickly, fortifies number two as fast as possible; however they seem to procrastinate number 3. Perhaps it’s all the Red Flag waving or maybe they were all got too busy singing the Internationale.

What one ends up with, is a big state centered Economy, an immensely powerful Military Arm, and a general Police State. Let’s look at why this happens,

• People don’t like not being in control: In other words, it’s good to be king.
• Communism would fall apart in about a year without this kind of Police State: In other words, it sucks not being able to get the Bread you were promised.

The main reason why Communism has always failed, and always will fail, is because the Government wants money, and they can make more money by trading Heavy Industries and the like, then they can trading Consumer Goods.

The Government wants to keep functioning, mainly because they want to hold the power, that evil “Greed” again in a People’s State.

Off topic, but just who is John Galt. I've heard that he is a character in Atlas Shruged, but the wiki doesn't go into much detail. And I doen't feel like reading something that thick with concepts I am probably not gonna grasp.

I was at Purdue and saw written in chalk in big letters on the ground "John Galt? **** John Galt." Some of my friends started to laugh at it, and I was befuddled.

I see you are a fine former communist. I have been wondering now what led to the decline of communism in the last half of the last century, and I'm beginning to see light now.

Well Communism, gets number one done REALLY quickly, fortifies number two as fast as possible; however they seem to procrastinate number 3. Perhaps it’s all the Red Flag waving or maybe they were all got too busy singing the Internationale.

Are you really that dumb? The transition from socialism (Dictatorship of the Proletariat) to communism (Classless Society), during which the Bourgeois legacy is methodically wiped out, itself takes more than a hundred years, and never has been achieved yet. Anarchy comes even later. Don't you see the the degree of conscious evolution needed for an anarchy to work? The immensely powerful Military Arm (the legendary Red Army in which every healthy man must serve for some time) is necessary to keep out foreign intervening powers, and will be dissolved (along with country borders) once the government has been overthrown in all the countries. The Police are required to suppress counter revolutions while the Bourgeois still exist, and will be dissolved once the society is classless. It is then that the state withers away.
