Default Fighting on bridges and riversides

When I recently fought on a battlefield with a bridge and the fighting spread to the bridge itself.....I realized that there was something missing. I was reminded of Barbarian Invasion and that there were soldiers falling of the bridge in the water when you fought on one.
Same thing on riversides and on city walls (soldiers falling of city walls you could see in RTW, too).

But in MTW2 there are no falling soldiers in any situation. They're not falling of walls, bridges or from riversides into the water.

    Why is that ?
I can't think a reason why this effect was taken out. Or was it simply forgotten ?

There's invisible sharks in the rivers, whenever someone falls the sharks eat them.

I most remember that when a East Roman limitani fell off a bridge while being chased by a unit of clibinari. I saw by clib unit taking 10 casualties a second, and when I looked there was an avalache of clib going over the side of the bridge

Drowning units in Barbarian Invasion was my favorite tactic, units that rout and then try to swim away across the river die from drowning, its a great way to whittle down the Hunic armies

I noticed that too, on bridges atleast... It seemed to be replace by the sneaking troops who seem to run on the handrail to get across the bridge. Damn near impossible for me to plug up bridge from on the bridge...
