Hello!

Im not even sure if theres any people singing in this game besides the credits .
I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
The only words I've ever heard is in one of the campaign songs, and I don't think that's in English. It's a cool song, though. Probably my favorite song in the game.
There is at least one song that has text in it, but I don't one what the text is. You could turn up the volume and find out yourself.
It's in Latin. This is "Divinitus". I agree - it's amazing!
I have text of this song and I can give you it.
Song in credits titled "Forever".
I don't have text of, for example, "Lost souls" (song from BI's intro, and you can hear after defeat battle).
I know the lyrics to Forever by heart:
What awaits us?
A cloud has fallen on our shore
The mighty hand and sword of Roman war
And I'll be brave, be strong, be true, my love
And I'll be waiting for you, forever...
My love you march to war defiant
May god returneth you triumphant
And you'll be brave, be strong, be true, my love
And I'll be waiting for you, forever...
"And remember this above all: Our Roman gods are watching. Make sure
they are not ashamed!"
How can I wait unknowing?
This is the price of war
We rise with noble intentions
And we risk all that is pure
We are only as great as our hearts will allow
What awaits us?
Forever...
What will become of us? What will be, will be
But I hope and I pray, every single day
You'll come to me, come home to me, come home to me...
Divinitus is a latin song that lists the true traits of a true roman.
hellatorius victorialis (warlike; victory)
erastus necessitas (lovers; death)
honararius despondeo (honour; despair)
spiritus obdormio (life; death)
patriota gladiator (country; fighter)
afflictio ommento (pain; waiting)
divinitus salutaris (heaven; salvation)
furtivus libertas (furtive love; freedom)
I found in the Internet that some person, after studying Latin for six years, translated this song into English:
"From the victory of greece/Troy"
"beloved inevitability"
"I pledge my honor"
"(my) spirit/life falls asleep"
"Gladiator of the fatherland"
"to the remaining pain"
"The wholesome divinity"
"stolen freedom"
I had translation both song, but thank You!
Do You have another translations?
Nah, the rest of the songs is just random talk. [If there are any voices......]
Oh yeah that- That's just singing, there would be no point in putting text in there no would there
Saggitarius, you've gotten some way off the mark replies but I had to drag out the old Latin textbook to get the lyrics straight when I heard this wonderful song.
I don't know where the lyrics circulating the net came from....I hear something different.
Best I can figure - excuse spelling
Annatorias victori alis eratus(?) necessitas gravitas despondeo spiritas obdormio patria te(?) gladiator <afflctio homento><?> divinitus salutaris furtivus libertas
A year will have passed to nourish victory, the heavy requirement I pledge (as in a marriage vow?), with the breath I fall asleep, for you the homeland's gladiator, <???> revere the divine influence for secret freedom
It sounds to me like a song from a young woman to her warrior love off to war.
Actually, according to Jeff van Dyck, the composer and lyricist for the Rome: Total War Soundtrack, the vocals for "Divinitus" were simply set to a string of quasi-Latin words. Though no more has been released by van Dyck or the Creative Assembly on the lyrics, I can say, having myself studied Latin for nine years, that, in addition to Angela van Dyck's apparently underdeveloped Latin pronunciation, there is hardly any sense to be made of the piece as a whole, either by my ear, or by the "Latin" lyrics asserted above.

I do know that the song that opens Rome: Total War(in the intro vid) is called Melee Cafe(as in an eatery).
Edit: If you want to know how I know that, go on Youtube and search "MercenaryTriarii". He has an archive of Music for the TW games, titles and all.
when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.
