Reducing the reputation

I want...

Some ways to reduce the reputation in the game(without releasing vassals)
OR
A cheat code if it exists to reduce it,
or advice where I can find the rep level in the saved game so I can edit the file.

go into the game files and change the bad boy points. been many months since i played the game or edited the files so i cant remember where abouts they are - go to the paradox folder, select eu3 and i think its in the common folder in there somewhere, static_modifier maybe.

There should be a badboy section with a number by it like -0.01, change it to -0.1 (or higher but not too far as you dont get rep at all at like -0.5).

Wait till other people come in the thread to tell u before following my advice though as im not sure if thats it or not

I have Rev. France
My rep. is 44/33
As a result, many nations declare war, even if they are weak.
An example.
Morocco declared war.
Army mumbers
Morocco : 20.000 army and 6 ships
Morocco's alliance(including Morocco) : 35.000 army and 15 ships
Rev. France : 300.000 army and 120 ships
Rev. France's alliance(including Rev.Fran) : 450.000 army and 250 ships


As you understand it's getting very annoying, I have to fight even small nations. At the same moment I have a war with Austria,Russia,Great Britain and Netherlands.



So, any advice about reducing my rep level is useful.

If I was that far over, I'd just give up on being nice and annex/vasselate all who oppose...

As long as you've got strong navies (and thus can avoid the issue of expanding too quickly and then losing scores of % warscore to blockades) there really isn't much that can stop you...

OK, numbers of armies and navies of alliances.
Rev. France (I'm the leader of the alliance) : 580.000 army and 300 ships
Russia (includes Austria): 450.000 army and 200 ships
Great Britain (includes Netherlands): 300.000 army and 250 ships
Turkey:200.000 army and 100 ships

So, my alliance has 580.000 army and 300 ships
my enemies have 950.000 army and 550 ships

As you understand it's not that easy to win...
I have the best quality,generals and technology
they have numbers.
That's why I want to reduce my rep, so I can focus winning the 3 enemy alliances.

The numbers of armies and navies are getting more and more impressive with the
high reputation, since every major nation declares war.

The only non-cheat way to do it is to refrain from starting wars for a time. Your rep goes down slowly over time, and is further aided by your ruler's stats, reputation advisers, and whether or not you're the curia controller (or is it emperor?).

unfortunately with that method when uve gone too far over the threshold u will be endlessly at war with people declaring war on u (i know, i had over 100 years of straight warfare in one campaign..was repetitive because most were weak and annoying factions)

You have to edit the save game file. Find the 3-letter code for your nation and then find the badboy variable and change it to a lower value or zero. Or you can just do it the hard way and try to avoid war so that value goes down naturally.
