Staff Restructuring

The Triumvirate has unanimously decided that the staff needs some major restructuring. After a long discussion and planning, we have decided to remove three staff members for the betterment of staff efficiency.

So now that there are 3 less staff members, the 3 being 2 praetors and 1 quaestor, we have to move up 2 quaestors to become praetors. Here, I'll explain it a bit better:

Former Staff:

Triumvirate:
Siblesz
GodEmperor Nicholas
borispavlovgrozny

Praetors:
Trobalov (honorary discharge)
Trax (honorary discharge)
Portuguese Rebel

Quaestors:
Shigawire
Wild Bill Kelso
Wilpuri
Mehmed II (honorary discharge)

Revised Staff:

Triumvirate:
Siblesz
GodEmperor Nicholas
borispavlovgrozny

Praetors:
Wilpuri (promoted)
Wild Bill Kelso (promoted)
Portuguese Rebel

Quaestors:
Shigawire

So as you can see, we have granted honorary discharge to Trobalov, Trax, and Mehmed II while promoted Wilpuri and Wild Bill Kelso to Praetors. But now there are 3 open spaces for quaestor. For this reason, the quaestor nomination topic will be re-opened.

And I repeat, the praetor changes were unanimously passed by the Triumvirate.

One more change has also been passed. Senior retired staff members will be included in a group called the "Senatorii Viechii". In this group, the following people are included:
Frood, Tomyris, tBP, Trax, Trobalov, Morble, Mehmed.

Indeed, if you look at the history of past members, such as Frood, Tomyris, and Tbp, all have been very active in the community and still valuable members. I think talking to any of those members will make it clear that they all left to go to pursuit other things, but still retain all there honor, prestige, and often post in the community. So it really should not be seen like we are demoting people--Its just that people have lives outside the forum and must step aside for young blood to moderate away.

Often it is also that these members just need a break. WBK was a mod, left, and has returned to moderate actively.

At any rate, as Sib said, we have extra slots, so nominate away!

Although i'm a relatively new face to the forums, i'm sure I wont be alone in wanting to just say a quick thanks to those staff members who are stepping aside, for their work in moderating the forums, in addition to the work they undoubtedly did in the background that most of us never see, and to wish them good fortune in whatever it is that has stolen their time :smile

I'll also extend my congratulations to those who have been promoted.

i like the new status...
i'm not sure on the eact translation of the name though... wouldn't senator emeritas be better? anyways...

the pink in my member name had better not be any reference to my sexuality or CA won;t be the only ones attempting legal redress!!!

as we're not a differnet member group, but more like civitates with special recognition, why not just embolden the civitate colour?

Morble is a retired staff and long standing member (look joining date) which is what is needed to be included in that group.
