That was the best units i have ever seen( yet )
Interestingly enough, when Romans adopted cataphracts in the Late Roman Empire they failed more often than not against plain old Germanic barbarian cavalry. I think cataphract fighting prowess may be a little overstated.

Don't open up one year old threads people....it just clogs up the system and the newer, current and up to date threads just get bumped down. It's a nuisance.
And of course Cataphracts are far better off on huge, flat grassy or sandy terrains where they have plenty of manouvreability which allows them to flank the enemy army and unleash their deadly charge into the enemy's back. After all - Cataphracts were so heavily armoured not just for protection for shock value in a charge. You can't expect them to do well in German forests, let alone any form of cavalry.
i think its ok to post in the official preview threads
Yeah, goodbye big purple eyesore. Made me want to crush them faster so I wouldn't have to look at those horrible purple pajamas. Now I can actually enjoy fighting them.
Since they now seem to be a heavily horse and archer army (and some of the best), are their unit sizes larger and ammo count higher so they can fill the skies with arrows and harass you from all quarters?
I may fight as them, instead of against them, if they are that good.

Still looking forward to Carthage preview
Wow, I don't know what to say really. The best work on Parthians ever, ever since the Rome TW came out. Truly the work of art.
**ROMA SURRECTUM 2.0 RULES**
Go damn! Those Parthian Nobles look fantastic! Really really nice guys.
Could never get used to the more eastern factions tactics of using mass archers lol, but meh...some people can! I prefer my heavy infantry charging around the place butchering everyone! *glee*
hehe, though I agree with you in principle, Gez, i prefer to shower the enemy with arrows before i send in the heavy infantry - which is why i always have at least four cohorts of auxiliary archers with my legions at all times.

Yeah, I use the same concept with my legions except I only have 2 cohorts of archers...fill the rest up with cav and jav.

Yes, nice units..
I love parthians, and it is obvious that you lost a lot of time on this units, but sincerely i think they appear just too much "arcade style".

Yes..
I think they are ok, nice units. But they appear a bit too "arcade". They could be more realistic.
This is just my opinion anyway.
