    Hello BC team,

    I'm very exicited about this awesome mod folks. Great job!

    I'm concerned about the "Kingdoms" expansion and when you might possibly plan to release a version of BC that's compatible with that.

    Do you have plans regarding BC's patch for 1.3 patch compatibility?

    I'm confused as to what patch 1.3 is actually supposed to do. Is Patch 1.3 just kingdoms, is it what makes kingdoms work? Does it fix something in Kingdoms?

    BC 1.0 will be compatible with patch 1.2 and nothing before that. As far as path 1.3/kingdoms is concerned I can't really say since its not out yet. Needless to say it will be some time before we make a kingdoms compatible version of BC.

    Yes it will have a separate .bat to load the game from - like most mods for M2TW do.

    BC will be a completely self-contained package with zero effect on your vanilla files. Which means you can have other mods that don't affect core vanilla files along with BC in the same M2TW directory. Big thanks to CA for allowing to do this.

    I guess I'll have to make 2 installs, I just really want to play Kingdoms for the Americas campaign.

    I really hope that 1.2 mods will be compatible with 1.3 version of M2TW. A vain hope, but it would help us out a lot.

    As far as I know, v1.3 doesn't add anything to the game, its only to make the game compatible with Kingdoms. So even if you have v1.3 installed, it shouldn't effect any of the mods.

    Could you also please release a version witch overwrite the vanilla files? Maybe it's just me, but my impression is that mods not running in a seperate .bat, does run a lot smoother. (Might just be my silly mind, though :hmmm: ).

    I thought one of the features of 1.3 is dual core support? So what, it will only be available in Kingdoms and not in the normal Grand campaign?

    I think if you wanted that its simply a matter of dumping all that we provide in our BC folder right into the main vanilla folder and overwriting everything.

    I wouldn't recommend it and I'm not exactly sure if dedicated folders slows things down to be honest. Its been a while since I played vanilla.

    I actually think the slowdown is related to scripts and other items. BC will come with a "basic" script in the main imperial_campaign folder that you can use if you want a faster turn time albeit reduced features.

    1.3 contains no extras and 1.2 mods will work on it, it's the Kingdoms.exe that comes with the expansion that has all the new Kingdoms features in it.

    Just want to state one thing. Kingdoms and BC are like apples and oranges. Kingdoms has multiple mini campaigns that take a detailed look at smaller scenarios.

    The Crusades campaign zooms right into the levant/holyland/anatolia and covers the conflict in much more detail. BC is not a crusades campaign. The crusader states vs ayyubids is only a part of BC and not even the biggest part. For example the regions of Palestine/Egypt/Syria are not covered in as great detail as in Kingdoms given the fact that our maps geographical range is about 4-5 times Kingdoms and covers very diverse parts of the world - from Hindus to Armenians to Kypchaks to Persians to Latins to Arabs.

    So its best not to put down or put up one over the other since the purposes and vision of the two are entirely different.
