Yeah soldiers writing about their army panicking is what I wanted to read, preferably from a situation in which the self-confidence of the soldiers was good, until that moment. ''I panicked''

    Yes, of course. They had.
What I said came off wrong, I meant to say that it doesn't seem like they had any weakness which could always be exploited like you can always flank infantry since defenses cannot attack. But that is also wrong since I just found out that the defenses seem more portable than I thought they were.

So, the answer for your initial question if these numbers include casualties of armed servants is - I have no idea . It's possible that these numbers include armed servants. It's also possible that they don't.
Anyway, if they don't include armed servants, I wouldn't estimate their number significant. Their role in the battle was marginal. So their casualties should have been low.
    All right

This time about weapons and equipment of Kazimierz Borkowski - a hussar comrade in Mikołaj Sieniawski's banner. Unfortunately, only in Polish language.

"King resorted to a plan for increasing the inhabitants... He opened an asylum. Thither fled, from the surrounding peoples, a miscellaneous rabble, without distinction of bond or free, eager for new conditions; and these constituted the first advance in power towards that greatness." - Livy, "The History of Rome"

"After the conquest of Italy, Rome could mobilize 700 thousand troops (Romans and their allies). That strength could not be matched by any other army. Neither Carthage nor Macedon could mobilize a force, that would even roughly match Rome's numbers." - M. Jaczynowska, "Historia Starożytnego Rzymu"

    2 news:

    1. Pancerny's pennon:
    http://muzeum.olsztyn.pl/cavata-na-o...skim-zamku,387
It might be interesting for 17th c. wargamers or reenactors.

    2. A new archaeological project has started. Polish archaeologists will check the battlefield, where the famous battle of Kircholm 1605 was fought. They plan to check also a bottom of Dvina river, because they think that some part of former battlefield is under water.
Here is the site where you can check what is happening with the project.

    My new book:

    http://www.radoslawsikora.republika.pl/ksiazki/niezwykleoksiazce.pdf

It's about amazing battles and charges of winged hussars.
There are described battles vs Swedes, Germans, Russians, Cossacks, Ottomans, Tatars... Particularly there are described battles vs pikemen (it's my favorite subject )
There are battles not only won (for example against 100 times more numerous enemy), but also lost by hussars.
The book is illustrated by maps and 39 drawings and photos. Some of them are published for the first time in Poland. They, for example, show unknown drawings of winged hussars.

There is only one bad news - the book is only in Polish language.

    POLISH-LITHUANIAN COMMONWEALTH:

    UNITS PREVIEW

I created The Units Preview of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the 18th century to mod European Wars (Rome Total War). This is a completely new version of the Polish units of the fraction compared to the beta version. Units are divided into two groups: the early 18th century (A) and the other half of that century (B). Their number is much higher than usual in mod EW, as many as 34 units. The player will have a wide variety of infantry and cavalry. In the early era units are characteristic of the 17th century, such as the winged hussars, pikemen, haiduks. In the age of the other, there will newer types of units such as grenadiers, hussars and the National Cavalry.
All units have been reskinned again and their number was doubled. I tried to take care of the details of uniforms and armor so they are visible differences between early (like Louis XIV of France - uniforms longer, larger), and the late era (uniforms inspired by the tight-fitting Prussian uniforms). Soldiers have a variety of distinctive headgear and clothing details. Even the hairstyles are tailored to the periods and characteristics of units.
Thank you for Lordz teams and Fire and Sword for lending some elements of textures and models for the 18th-century weaponry and uniforms.

Do you have larger versions of the paintings (so that they can be used for wallpapers)?

It wouldn't take much pure modding effort to compile a good unit pack purely for Poland-Lithuania - all the necessary units are already out there in Darthmod (national cavalry), Ancien Regime (Whole early roster) or European Wars (I saw an accurate late infantry model).

What we'd need is a roster partially replacing the vanilla one - definitely late variants of line infantry, a non-generic rifle infantry unit (ours had green uniforms), national cavalry, tweaked winged hussars/cuirassiers etc... All late units appearing and replacing their early counterparts by researching some particular tech (would work for artillery) or better yet building one of the more advanced barracks (the Knights' School leaves a lot of room for that)

Like I said - it's all out there, scattered amongst the bigger, less focused mods. Personally I always end up just using Ancien Regime and fixing diplomacy attitudes. Big mods are just confusing.
