    Very nice units!

Although, Hirdmenn were only used in Norway.

I'd suggest renaming it to Huskarl, who were the true elite class warriors of Denmark and the Anglo-Saxons. Also a few of those helmets look too romanticized and unhistorical.

Very nice! Those sicilians look amazing! So how is wessex going to be in darkage? Lots of infantry and shieldwalls I hope. Also the magyars and milites look very good!

They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

Denmark also has regular Huskarls, so I needed a different name for the bodyguard. If you can come up with a more appropriate name to distinguish them from regular Huskarls, feel free to make suggestions.

They wiil be very infantry based. So far I just gave shieldwall to the Anglo-Saxon Huscarls bodyguard, but I am thinking about giving it to a couple more units to make up for the lack of cavalry.

I can't believe I waited this long to fix the Sicilian Muslim units

    Thanks!

The Magyar Cavalry now have the side quiver, I haven't had time to post an update. I just need to make one more upgrade for the Nobles.

Well I suppose the appriopriate would be to call them the "King's Huskarls" or something similar.

Perhaps something like Jarlar Huskarlar (Jarl's Huskarls)? I don't like to use King's and Royal in the bodyguard names, as everyone in the tree is not always royal. I see the family tree as the rulers military household.

The shieldwall was the basic formation of the anglo-saxon armies and works much better on kingdoms so I would recommend it for most infantry I really can't wait!! One thing is though that ai units can't use it so you might try and just give them a very close formation to simulate it.

    Yes that would do fine.

... that's one of the reasons why this formation shouldn't be content imo. - as the official balance modder, i would vote absolutely against it, but as my active modding is paused in SV since a few months now (because of lots ChivTW I activities), it is SV's decision alone, but again, as continuing active consultant i'm against all AI disadvantages that can be avoided through modding. Rather the Saxons should get a dense formation for certain units via edu formation deployment code.

I think I will name the Danish bodyguard as Huskarlar, and the old dismounted Huscarls as Karlar.

This seems to be the best option.

Regarding the Shieldwall, so far I only gave it to the infantry bodyguards (Anglo-Saxon Huscarls and Huskarlar). We will have to experiment before we can think about rolling it out to more units. I agree with DV about handicapping the AI by giving the human player an unfair advantage. The AI needs all the help it can get...

    Armorican Equites

This is a Darkage AOR unit, recruitable in Armorica/Brittany.

This unit is still a work in progress, so the final version may have a somewhat different appearance.

    [EDIT]

See post # 115 for the final version.

Definitely 100 percent right once the new version comes out I'll reinstall medieval 2(and uninstall civ tr which is amazing) and work on this if you guys like... Wow I didn't originally realise how amazing dark ages was going to be!

Edit awesome job on the shields sv!

Armorican Cavalry are one of my favorites. I always added them to my BI mods

Right now I have them setup to be recruitable by anyone that controls Brittany.

I have been working on an unreleased Darkage mod since the days of MTW I, it is great to finally release it. It is definitely a great addition to M2.

Once the 888 campaign reaches a mature state, I want to do a couple more DA camapgns. Definitely one based on Charlemagne's time, and probably around 830 or 843.

    I Need some feedback...

Here are the newly remade Battlefield Assassins.

    Maygar Jobbagy

The shields and "Fokos axe" are courtesy of Lithuania mod, which will implemented when I add the Lithuania faction

The question is, do I use them as Szekely Infantry (ex Transilvanian Peasants), and redo the Battlefield Assassins as a bow armed Infantry like the Ottoman Infantry?

    [EDIT]

Here is the unit as Szekely Infantry:
