CAE Last Faction Poll

Gentlemen this poll is to decide the last faction of the 31 faction limit,as you may or not know the remaining two had been decided as Kingdom of Georgia (had received a considerable amount of 60+ percent vote) and Kingdom of Sweden.Note that last faction will be a Catholic faction... located at Europe...

So if you will please,don't hesitate to cast your votes,here are the 5 canditates...

ehm, first of all, remove Brittany or bourgounese or whatever

and then add Flandern. I should warn you- Serbia is not a catholic faction.

well if Aragon is added, then I suggest Switzerland and Burgundy, and if Serbia as orthodow, Kievan rus or Kypchaks as pagan.

I suggest you close these three poll threads, and start a totally new one. with these factions.

Ireland
Bohemia
Serbia
Burgundy
Kypchaks
Switzerland
Norway.

Nice Eranshahr but the last faction will be Catholic so Serbia and Kypchaks can not be canditates.

Norway have important role on early middle-ages,in special in ireland,scotland,even england

so my vote would go to Norway, and my second vote for flanders (but wouldn't be funny) =P

Just that it's in the poll list doesn't mean it will be certainly feautured.I think like you about it could look like Spain unless serious work and time is dedicated.

Ah Croatia nice idea for the poll Eranshahr.The thing is I can't edit the darn thing to add Norway,Flanders etc.

I know, It is impossible to edit polls I tried to do this when I found out the the Irelands mistake. the only way is to close all the polls, and create a new.

Zeph If you would like me to, I can do the new poll. I think I know all the good factions we need. and i also know the bad and good sides with most of them. But only if you would want me to help.

or .......and i mean "or" in the place of one faction, we can added a order (the templars) or the county of tripoli to support Koj !!

but croatia would be funny, fight against venice,hungary also hre =P

you gave me an idea, Principality of Antioch. But the problem would be- too much like the Koj. and the ME is already overpopulated.

Apparently it seems that way indeed.For now let's cast votes on the current factions,however people that wants to vote on a specific faction that is not included in the poll can post something like:

Voted for Norway

So those will be taken to account as well.

Gentlemen take it into account that I specified for the criteria of the new faction to be :

1-Catholic
2-Located in Europe (County of Tripoli's location is at the middle-east although they are Catholic)

County of Tripoli can be featured later at minor factions status if the 31 faction limit can be breached provided that my theory is right.

Principality of Antioch along with the Counties of Edessa and Tripoli can be used to reinforce KOJ since in the future the islamic factions will be more powerful.. And I categorize them as minor factions.And they are to be added if my theory about breaching the 31 factions limit is true.Right now the priority is finishing up the playable major factions..

Croatia could prove to be interesting if anyone wish to vote for it.. Just post

I think they should be " vassals for ever" countries if it is possible. such as, Aragon for Spain, Antioch for koj, Kievan rus for Russia, Armenia for Byzantium, Kypchaks for Mongols and you know

A good point I can ask the people later which is their true vote.Only one vote is allowed for a single person..

I intend to give certain roles to the minor factions as being allies and vassals of major factions,of course based on historical facts and proper gameplay implementation.

Thinking of vassalization here is an example.Principality of Antioch,County of Edessa and County of Tripoli should start as vassals of the KOJ.

And here is what I have in mind,I'll create historical events as I've indicated in the mod info sticky..

If the proper cod is achieved I can script that for instance,in a certain year while a historical event message will pop up and indicate that the Rus,had became the vassal of the Mongols..

Then when the player views the diplomacy screen he will notice that indeed Russia had became the vassals of Mongols...

I'll set things like this and add it in the optional folder called "historical mod" so when you use it,your game will be effected by history..

I voted Aragon. I don't think any faction unit similarity to Castile-Leon is relevant. What I think is relevant is that the Iberian Peninsula was a dynamic place politically. Adding Aragon adds to the dynamism of the region. Historically, Aragon was a power in the Western Mediterranean. Therefore its inclusion as a distinct faction adds to the historicity of the game. Ireland is the exact opposite of what I just posted: perhaps unique units, but Ireland was not significant to the rest of Western Europe politically. It was not a power: it was not even unified. It was not relevant beyond its own confines.
