stripper down/minimal map on RTW???

i need just a stripper up/minimal map on RTW

This the stripped-down mod folder..but only to MTWII.

so RTW???other has folder with 1-3 faction and 1-3 region?..because its easy for me to work and add map with 1-3faction and 1-3 region...if nope..so Tutorials to this??

D:\Rome - Total War\mymods\
with my mymods.Cfg and mymods.Exe??

what skould i write on .cfg and .exe??
its just not same on mtwII.

Go to your .exe and in right click on it, and then click properties. Then, in the target box type your location of the folder.

mymods.cfg :

[features]
editor = true
mod = MYMODS

mymods.exe/bat :
RomeTW.exe @MYMODS.cfg

so what more or what wrong???

I think you mean Stripped Down Map, and sadly, I don't know how to edit Cgfs or what they are.

you know with mymods-folder,mymods.cfg and mymods.bat with mtwII?
and i can not figue out of this with rtw

there isn't a .cfg or .bat file equivalent in RTW - so stop looking for that

To make mod folder see http://www.twcenter.net/wiki/-mod:my_mod
for some basic info.

just make folder called, for your example:
D:\Rome - Total War\mymods\data
add into that data folder add the world/maps/campaign and base folders you want to use and the corresponding regions and settlements names file into data/text.

Then just change the target line of your shortcut to
"D:\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:mymods -show_err

-show_err is what RTW uses instead of the trace log system in M2TW

As for a basic starting map - I did a minimal thingy a long while ago - this download still looks like it works:

hi...
this "basic map" work fine...and i has not problem with many new map on MTWII...so i am new with RTW,though it skould easy for me with rtw..but nope.

I is not sure why CTD on RTW...hope other will good help me and look what i do wrong or oups...i will be very glad if other can tell me what wrong..plz?

maybe because pyramids,pharos,colossus and blabla is not with,so ctd?

includes slightly revised map_regions and map_heights to make your map load - you'd missed out one region colour from map_regions.

Main problem though was the layout - RTW does not like large seas on large maps and your one west of France was too large - I have made it work by putting an 'island' of land on map heights to reduce size of sea. You can probably reduce that a bit but it will need something there. Alternatively try twisting map slightly so that sea width gets reduced (if you don't mind losing a bit of Spain!) If you can't rearrange layout you need to do it on slightly smaller map instead. (problem is not ratio of land / sea, but caused by areas of sea that are too wide)

(the wonders - pharos etc, and FE map are not problem - not relevant at this stage)

Hi..i is very confus with

Pak extractor by Vercingetorix
FileParser v1.0 For Xpak (Including Xpak)

its ok with map and other...

but its not ok with facton icon and Unit_Info icon..
especial with UI-folder.

how can i giv pak from mymods-folder to rtw with xpak or FileParser v1.0
so it easy for other install auto with only one click on xpak..
pack out and so with mymods and pack back to rtw?!

can other giv me a step for step what i should write this confus with xpak.bat..lol,thx
