The 1.1 sound text files work for 1.2.

    Hi Lusted,
Thanks for the reply, The only probs Im getting is whenever the sound files are rebuilt from the 1.1 text files, it loses all mongol voices, on strat map and in battle. I know the changes Ive made to the files are okay, as Ive added voices to new units, and all are fine, but the mongols lose there voices whenever files are rebuilt. Last time I asked about this Trajan said he tought it may be due to using 1.1 files, in a 1.2 game, but he wasnt sure

EDIT::Sorted the battle map voice theing, I had changed mongols to arabic accent to try and fix the strat map problem, so now Im just left with the missing mongol strat map voices, any ideas ?

    any ideas?

(BTW using your battle AI at the moment, on SS and now ony personal mod, very good, much improved on thers I have used)

    Many thanks
    Jason

EDIT:::: Have found the problem most of the command lines for mongolian accent are missing from the export_descr_sounds_stratmap_voice file, and if you put them in it causes a CTD, so the actual mp3 files mustnt be there

    Is this a prob with 1.2 ?

I've just had a quick look through the file and I would guess that the Mongolian sounds aren't complete because the factions that use them aren't supposed to be playable and so the missing sounds should never trigger anyway.

Yup, thats what I figured, have fixed prob, by subsituting the code from the east europeon accents section, so now on strat map there is an accent, and of the ones available, east europeon is 'best' selection, as it will be used by, aztecs and mongols,

I can be done easier by changing in the descr_sounds_accents file, but you will find your mongolian troops lose there voice on the battle field (ie when u click on a unit , it will now longer shout 'archers' or 'Infantry' ect)

hope this info helps some people

    thanks
