the one you don't notice, who maintains the status quo and then retires after 20 years to collect a fat pension.
However, she did nothing to prevent Bangladesh from turning into a **** hole.I am talking about politicians who knew to achieve their goals. Bismarck, Adenauer, Cardinaux Richelieu et Mazarin, Louis XIV.
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."
- Flavius Vegetius Renatus (in Epitoma Rei Militari, ca. 390)
Would I offend anyone if I said Hitler? I am Jewish btw, don't call me anti semitic, but no other has been able to push such a crazy agenda and achieve the kind of support Hitler has.
Bismark
Hitler - Turned a poor ass country into the most economicly powerful in europe, can't agree with the bad parts, but the good parts were awsome
Queen Elisabeth 1
Agustus Ceazar
Clinton - Did absolutely nothing to upset me, the best kind of politician.
"For the humble doily is indeed the gateway to ULTIMATE COSMIC POWER!"

Hitler's economic theories were highly unsound. He boosted the economy through incredibly reckless deficit spending in the hopes that his gamble would pay off and the world would take a few steps backwards (both socially and economically) and reinstate slavery and feudalism as a means of keeping Germany afloat.
Calvin Coolidge gets my vote for America's best president, the closest this nation has had to a true pro business libertarian.
Dead or imprisoned politicians are the best ones.
Churchill.
Churchill was seen as a rabid extremist for a large chunk of his career, and it is precisely due to that that he was often marginalized, especially between the time he was forced to take the blame for Gallipoli in 1915 and his appointment as prime minister during WWII. Notice that he lost office as soon as the war was over, this being due to the fact that people need harsh, strong and uniting leaders during wartime, but during peacetime hardly ever does everyone more or less agree on the goals the country should set.
He was, of course, a great man.
The greatest? Blatantly Augustus. Quite simply put, his seizure of power was masterful. Not without flaws, but clearly one of the greatest political careers in history. Even if I don't agree much with what he did

Not quite, in fact the two are opposite concepts.
And the leadership skills they require are vastly different.
