    Default New units?

    I know you will have to totally redo the old unit models for the new engine(which is going to take forever seeing as you have so many) thanks to the "model blender".

    But how soon will it be before we can expect new units?

    Will you be accepting requests for new units as long as they are historically accurate?

    If yes for above will you research the correct ancient names of the unit for us?

    Will you be doing more "what if" units (IE if Macedon conquered the romans or if Gaul was never conquered would they clone the legions of Rome like the eastern factions?)

    M2TW has the same unit limits as RTW, so there are very few unit spaces left after adding all of the EB1 units to EB2. Most of the open spots will be used for units for the ten new factions.

    EB tries to stay away from 'what if' units.

    This probably ends all discussions about new factions being something unimaginable. Since EB is already very close to the limits, it will have to be something made up from what we have already in our game. Like Numidia (there's plenty of Numidian units already), Galatia (they already have a huge roster), maybe some Greeks here and there (Bosporan Kingdom, Pergamon, Syracuse?), something Gallic and Greek (Marseille), maybe something Ibero-Gallic (Numantia?), something using mainly Gauls but also some good regionals (Scrodisci, Belgae, Helvetii?). It's ten, isn't it? :-)

    Is it possible to add a late late late reform that would offer the Roman faction a new line of units from the late Roman era. IE Diocletian reforms. Maybe add some of the units from IBFD as a new line in case a Roman player manage to make it well into the late period.

    This won't work. Few players make it beyond 100 BC, so adding in another reform is a no.

    That's probably right. We only need a German faction in there(we only have one now while the gauls have 3. Must beet gauls!!

    Medieval 2 has a bigger unit and model limit, IIRC.

    There is a larger model limit in M2TW, but the unit limit is the same. (Now model and unit limits are the same.)
