    Default To all you Curia-dudes...

What happened to my "Senator" badge? Not that I care about the badge itself, but I personally thought my name in blue was way flashier than this bland red. Also, my account says I'm part of some club called the artifex or whatever, yet I've never done anything with regards to moddifying total war games. Some clarification would be appreciated...

Unless this is part of yet another silly Curia-reform, of course...

The badge was removed as part of a bill and the Artifex badge was introduced for modders a year ago - any citizen can chose between the 3 civ badges - they are all equal - this is because some people become civs for a mixture of reasons and therefore people should be able to chose a badge to signifying there main reason for becoming a civ. I personaly chose to appear as a normal member although I have used all three civ badges as well as using the local moderator plain badge.

Basicly you are given the choice out of simplicity.

It's not about that. With my blue name I was something special, I was awesome, my name commanded respect and everybody revelled in my presence. Now I have been reduced to a pleb, a commoner, no better than the regular 16-year old kids who spend half their time sucking up to staffmembers just to get a red name and belong to TWC's "elite". It's a disgrace, that's what it is.

Normally I couldn't give a rats ass about the Curia and what goes on in there, but once you start ****ing with the colour of my name, you start ****ing with Torment. And nobody ****s with Torment.

So a friendly warning: give me my blue name back or die a slow, agonizing death. Take the damn mace if you want an equal trade, but stop messing with my awesome name!

    No pressure of course.

I have limited sympathy for someone with the ability to participate in the curia yet doesn't complaining if something he doesn't like happens.

Haha, thats exactly it. Streamlining, I think they branded it. Disrespectful is what I call it, who do these newcomers think they are?

I don't really care much of course, although there was a bit of sentimental value to it....

It might be possible to arrange an appropriate name color at some point. Doesn't suck half as much for you as for the Divuses/Opifexes, though (when they get medals to replace their badges).

What do you expect when the Curia is full of noobs and people that can't keep things the same way for more than 12 minutes. Always amending. Always changing something. Thank God I am gone from there.
The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be used until they try and take it away.

Torment, a minimal change as this could not even make a tiny dent in your panoply of awesomeness.

Your presence still invoques feelings corresponding to a virtual image of prostration and shock at a cellular level.

I will stop here because I am already overwhelmed by the effort.

Simetrical to the rescue! Seriously, I don't know how much influence you still have in that hellhole, but I think it's about time someone with a little more experience starts kicking some sense into whoever took away my badge.

Why, thank you for the kind words. Of course the colour of my name doesn't really affect my awesomeness with regards to the people who already know me, but I'm more interested in the new people who don't know me. I want them to see, feel and smell my name and be left in such awe that they are rendered incapable of responding to my posts, insuring that wherever I go, I will always pwn the n00bs unopposed.

Having the senatorri badge didnt give much more status as the were so many people with it. The divus badge added more status as it was very rare.

The vote passed by 2 votes and loads of people who have been complaining didnt vote - the bill was discussed for ages - if you dont check the proth or curia vote in 2 weeks you shouldnt care about the effect of the bills.

Well such delusions are known to occur in people who are exposed to the blue for too long. That's why it was removed.......

Actually, I have to say I think you don't even deserve the Citizen badge you have right now. With the "I'm-so-full-of-myself" acting, the complaining about a simple badge and a color, you act exactly like the - how did you put it? - "the regular 16-year old kids who spend half their time sucking up to staffmembers" you do not want to be mistaken for with a... red name.

Hmm, okay, people are starting to take this a tad too seriously now. Lighten up, I was just having some fun. The people who know me a little better luckily seemed to realize this, but now that people are actually starting to take the delusional and extremely vain rants seriously, I better put a stop to this. Don't want to make some poor newbie cry, now do we? Still, I did like my name better in blue.

Now, boo-hoo-hoo. You've made me cry. The fact that you are actually taking all of this seriously says enough about how seriously I should take you. Better start using that dome of yours in the future before involving yourself in matters which you don't seem to understand, m'kay, mister smartypants?

Yeah you're right us n00bs don't understand your sweet jokey personality that apparently lets you call other members vermin with impunity.. It's an interesting argument, one I'm sure some of the regular visitors to the tribunal might like to try out some time...

Even if feigning not knowing where the proposal came from was part of your joke I suspect at least Setanta might like to know which n00b was to blame..

btw, Sim this particular Opifex would be quite glad not to be purple/dark blue - I've never thought that explaining to people that "no I'm not staff" and can't change their user-name, access permissions etc. is a particularly constructive use of my time.

Oh, I'm sure Ferrets won't mind. He's called other members far worse than that. It's a distinct sarcastic character-trait we both share. Some mistake it for actual insults, but to us it's just purely for the fun of it. I doubt he even cares about this thread and its purpose at all, but just couldn't withstand the urge to taunt me. Which I can understand. I give into that urge often enough as well.

But you are correct, I'm sure a noob like you won't understand.

Feigning? Man, this is getting amusing. Your reading on my n00b-o-meter is getting higher by the minute.

How very entertaining, all these silly nobodies attacking my integrity without knowing what the hell they're talking about. And I thought this place had turned into a dull, boring void. Seems I was wrong. Perhaps I need to visit this place more often.

Lmao. You have no idea what people think a moderator badge means you can do, then.

To be honest, I liked the look of the Senator status, and it was a serious rank of recognition. I missed out on voicing my concerns on the bill, but it seems we're getting rid of serious recognition for ex-staff and replacing it with an award in a feature that really is just a novelty. Ranks > Awards. Having been on staff for a while now, I've gotta say, people that served for more than 2 years really deserve it.

We'd never give prof his own rank for creating a barbie-themed layout now, would we?
