EB 2 is underway as far as some serious internal discussions and concepting goes. Our first big milestone will be porting the map with any changes/updgrades and finalizing the final 2 new factions.

Any chance that there might be new African factions?

    very good news indeed!
i played eb1 for hours and hours and really loved it .... but i guess, until eb2 will be finished, there will be three more official total war games

i appreciate your will to "finsih" eb1, but this will cost a lot of time for a game, which is already "older"... why not concretate your main forces on eb2?
    hm...

Despite the fact it took EB over 3 years to get towards the first full release, you must remember a good portion of that was research and concepts etc all of which no longer need doing in EB 2 except for new factions, it shouldn't take nearly as much time as EB1, because nearly everything from EB 1 will also be useable.

IIRC one of the Numidian kingdoms was considered as a new faction. I don't expect there will be more. The Libyans were at this time firmly under the Carthaginian thumb, and the Ethopians were nowhere near strong enough to pose a threat to any faction.

who cares? itd be another year or so before it came out and a year after that before it was bug free. Plus it will most likely be on a new engine if it happens, which would require intensive study before modding is fully understood.

an official sequel to rome total war is already in development, so better be quick with eb 2
perhaps, if you would not be able to make it in time, you could convert eb 2 from the m2tw-engine to the new rome-engine...if they´re using a new one ...
