No more?

My game won't generate events.dat and events.idx all of a sudden. It used to be able to, then when i just added some new music not long ago....the generation stops??

Are doing this through the main data folder or the mod folder? I've rebuilt those two files in the mod folder many times and it always came out successful.

Yes, i was successful in rebuilding music files many times, both in mod and original data folders. But this time, game just simply doesn't want to generate the events.idx and events.dat files.
Does the descr_accents.txt got anything to do with these? I added a new faction and typed in the new faction's name inside the file. I gave them english accent.
So, is it possible that the game doesn't recognise this and thus can't generate events files?

Possible. Try undoing that change and see if the game will rebuild the event files.

I reverted the text files but events files still does not want to generate.

Ahh never mind. I fixed it, was missing a line.

Hehe, that's all it takes to cause a CTD.

Not just that, it really annoying. I had to go through that file 10 over times before i spot 1 tiny mistake....just one mere single line with less than 10 letters. Then i'd realise how silly i've been....
