you know how many laws the Iranian regime has been trying to put into force? one of them was not to celebrate iranian new-year, nobody cared, the whole thing failed and now they WANT people to celebrate the new year. Another one was to " Not party at home" totally failed too, as everybody does so. And the most riddicoulous of them all " Women must wear hedscarves when men are at their house" And that failed too, they are loosing power, at last they will say that everyone wearing shorts or brahs should be killed and then- Revolution.

haha there is nothing called " word on the street" in Iran. things are obvious, you can see it in their eyes they hate it, Iran is not like Europe, We have many more parties than you have, just that our parties are more controlled ( mening we don't rape or get drunk after them) there are a lot of talk during those, a lot of dancing and ALWAYS Iranian food

Besides there is a movie called " Marmolak" It is the best Iranian comedy ever seen, Made in Iran. there is a guy in prison, he manages to escape, dessed as a mullah, he tries to get to Turkey ( free border passage) well it is worth seeing
