    Default Music you lsiten too?

What kind of Music do you lsiten do?
    On which languages?
    who is your favourite singer/group.

    me myself:

    i listen to eastern music
    music from Balkan,
    Iranian music
    Arabic music
    Turkish music
    Indian music.
most of them being traditional for their own country, or pop, ballads or rock
and I listen to some American rock music too.
but I don't have an idol

It is the structures of Capitalism who make the class, race and gender struggles neccesary. I personally refuse to accept that I will have approximately 17% less money each month because I am Middle Eastern, I refuse to accept that if a girl is raped the rapist blames it on her clothing, and I refuse to accept that the working class is the slave of the modern society- thats why I believe in Socialism, thats why call myself a Feminist and thats why I am Anti-rascist.

I listen to alot of different music.

First I listen to Epic Metal like Manowar
then hard rock like Led Zeplin and Pink Floyd
I also like Guns and ROses, Rage against the Machine, Queen, Van Halen.

Also I am a fan of 19th and early 20th century classical music pieces especially the works of Satie, Orf, Barber, Wagner, and Holst.

i like all the classics like Zep and Floyd but then they are never my favourite. i used to be into metal in a big way but thats not the case anymore (although i do like enter shikari) indy is my favourite at the moment i really like a band called editors and another called the klaxons and of course i love the Arctic Monkeys.

so in regards to the OP i like English rock music but also classical (was mozart german or austrian?)

I spent the last 7 years of my life as a hardcore metal lover but within the last year or so I've started to really find stuff I like in every sort of genre.

I like metal, hard rock, techno, electronic, industrial, rap, trance, prog, celtic, metalcore, aggrotech, etc

Some range of bands would be the following: Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Xzibit, Psyclone Nine, 50 Cent, Insane Clown Posse, Skinny Puppy, Black Light Burns, Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Bloodhound Gang...

My favs would have to be the ones mentioned above...the actual list of bands I listen to would be something like 300 groups long or so.

I mostly listen to types of rock like indie rock/alternative rock, British rock, industrial metal, heavy metal, garage rock revival etc, I also listen to some reggae.

Most of the songs I listen to are in English, although I also have a few in German and French.

I listen to literally damn near everything. I have an extra external hard drive attached to my computer just for my cds I ripped onto it because I have something like 3,900 songs (about 13 gigs worth of music). One of the folders I separated things into has 683 MB and 485 songs... the longest song in the folder is about 1:40. I have another case of cds I haven't put onto the drive yet also.

As for bands my music folder goes from Alice in Chains to Vivaldi to Dying Fetus to Frank Sinatra to Nirvana and Immolation and the soundtracks for Edward Scissorhands and the Last Samurai. I have rap, alternative, two emo songs, Soul Asylum, Charlie Daniels, 40's hits, Sarah Vaughn and Charlie Parker... there really isn't any music I won't give a listen at least once and I think every mood I've ever felt has a song that can be played while I'm in the middle of feeling it.

I guess if I had to pick ten bands/artists to listen to forever out of there though I'd take
    Dropkick Murphys
    Rancid
    Ice Cube
    Weezer
    Nasum
    Immolation
    The Clash
    R.E.M.
    The Pillows and
    Soul Asylum

    Ooooh, 1k for comments!

Anything that's good from Wagner to CCR to Rage to KRS One to Merle Haggard, if it is decent music, I will listen. Though recently one of my favorite bands is Mathien, headed by my buddy Chris, really freakin awesome and if ye want a free download check em out here.

Did I mention I was one of their promoters?

A whole bunch of stuff. You know how people tend to say 'a little bit of everything' when describing their music tastes, but what they mean is just whatever's on the charts? I try to subscribe to the real 'a little bit of everything' - not totally, of course, but I try finding stuff I like in as many genres as possible, and it's no easy feat but it's rewarding, something I'm still in the process of. I admit, I have a lot of trouble finding metal that I like... may be a broad genre to stay away from but, eh, I think too many people listen to it already.

Currently liking funk/soul, motown, early ska/reggae, big bands, early 90s rap as well as assorted 30s/40s artists. Though I'm more of a shoegazer, myself.

I listen mainly to prog rock, punk and metal (mostly prog metal with bits of death, black and doom metal thrown in) and lots of random stuff from all sorts of genres. I'm meaning to get more jazz and classical but haven't got round to it yet.

King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Bad Religion, Iron Maiden, Psychotic Waltz, Opeth, Bathory, Dead Can Dance, Agalloch...

Odovacar: Hardly anyone's even heard of krautrock, good stuff! Do you like Can?

I listen to these as well. One of my buddies is a metal guitarist and he suggested me Opeth, and some others I did not hear yet.

Yes, I just got one album yesterday. Not bad, but my favorite is the austrian Eela craig, especially the frenetic jazzguitar-progrock song 'New born child'.
Ever heard of Golem? Epidaurus, Grobschnitt? Zarathustra?
I like melodic bands the best.

But I know dozens of bands, I even emailed some krautrockers with questions and they replied
They were are are superb fellows!

Weirdly enough I only listen to two music types which are like the opposites of each other. Classical music and heavy metal (Rammstein!).
The heavy metal genre i discovered by myself, but the classical one comes from my parrents draging me with them to concerts when I was smaller, nowadays they don't have to force me to go, I go by my own will ^^.
