Stainless Steel 4.1 Released!

Great Mod love the KoH loading screens. The only thing I do not like is the map and time scale. Wish you would have used DVL large map without land bridges with a .5 time scale. This would still give distance with plenty room for more land batlles.

England, Scotland and Ireland larger. Create new factions
Welsh with Castle and citly Cardiff and Ireland faction. Scotland has expansion room. Other provinces could be added to England Glouecester, Manchester, Dumfrees, and Abredine and another possible Scottish Castle.

I dont thik it would be a good idea since a larger map would leave a lot of independent provinces, and your armies would take longer to get to their destinations.

4.1 was released months ago...

sorry to bug but I downloaded patch 1.2, installed it, restarted the computer, installed 4.0 then patch 4.1
and I hit on the icon of stainless steel and nothing happens...but if I hit the one from the original game I can play...but without stainless steel mod
any idea on how to make it work?

carlinho: Tell me exactly please, in which folder you have installed the original game, and in which folder you installed stainless steel 4.0 and 4.1.

there is the game, and then I installed both 4.0 & 4.1
when you get into the folder you can see the stainless steel.bat next to the game files...
and then the mod created folders with data...
I tried uninstalling and installing again with no luck...
should I uninstall all the game and start from scratch?
or there is any setting or additional program I need?

I don't have internet in that computer, could that be so?

Hey all im a complete noob when it comes to PC's do i just save 4.0 to my hard drive? ive placed it medieval war file is that right? Loki

You download the 4.0 files, save it or open it it does not matter, It will extract itself to the appropriate folder. (unless you changed the standard game path)

its not workin still. i really dont know why thou its fully installed someone told me to launch it using stainlesssteel.bat or something but that file does not even exist in mine?? Loki

How does it not excist?
You pointed the installer to your SEGA/M2TW folder? and you looked inside the folder and you found no bat? did you find the stainless steel folder?
Are you talking about 4.0 or 5.0?

yeh its in the M2TW folder and there is the Stainless_Steel_Mod folder but no bat. there is a configuration file and an MS-Dos one. there doesnt seem to be anythin to lauch the game with the mods. and im talkin about 4.0. Loki

This is really strange.. Never heared of this problem before... I might be able to help you further if you post a screenshot of your m2tw folder.

actually I have the same problem, but I do have the bat file
either I click on the icon on the desktop or the bat file nothing happens

then I installed kindgdoms expansion, I installed 5.o stainless...
and that didn't work either....pretty strange
could it be that because I have the game in another disk rather than C
that's the cause?

No it does not matter where you have it installed as long as it looks somewhat like this: C(or any other drive):\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel
