Default Naval Transports or: How I Learned to Stop Playing and Read the Manual (over and over again)

    How.
    To.
    Manage.
    Naval.
    Transport.
    Interrogation mark.

    I just dont get it.
In the manual, it sounds quite easy.
Build as many transport ships as you have regiments.
Select your army and then rightclick the fleet.

I have 3 Transporters and 3 Big Ships, forming my fleet.
And I want my 3 tiny regiments to go in there. But they dont want to. Not even one of the regiments. I just hear the damn "doob"-sound and see a tiny little cross which seems to mean: "Forget it mate, you can't do this!"

    Please help

Is the fleet at sea, or in port?

Port of course. (Please don't tell me that the fleet has to be at sea. That would be so.. absurd)

    Bingo!

And yes, it is absurd. I guess it has to do with movement patterns or something, but its illogical.

I am halved on this. Yes it appears that your 3000 men are swimming off shore to get on their vessels. However it would also be a little silly if your fleet were allowed into an enemies port to disembark. Thy need to have the same mechanism for both so it is only a niggley point to a great game.
