I have downloaded patch 1.3, however i do not know which folder it goes in. Could someone point me in the right direction.

What is the extension of the file you downloaded?

I'm afraid i'm not very high-tech, so i don't know what an extension is. I downloaded the patch from Strategyinformer website and saved it to my downloads, but i don't know where to place it. Thanks for your help

What is the full name of the file in your downloads?

The full name is rome_totalwar_patch_1-3 (it hasn't been changed)

http://www.rarlabs.com/ is for Winrar and it's free. Install it and see if it unzips it. If so the folder it makes will have a setup.exe you can run.
