Futuwa

Just thought I'd share something on this, as I think that this is a unit you should include in the mod (likely only one unit)

Reading what is above they would seem to be a good unit for Abbasids, and perhaps for others as well (it says that the Mamluks carried on the tradition after the fall of Bagdhad), they could be a crossbow hybrid similar to the Latin Armoured Crossbowmen good with crossbows and good with swords. It also is pretty clear on some clothing, they seem to have worn some sort of distinctive trousers and cloth girdles (sashes?), I also seem to remember something about them wearing the same colours as the Assassins, they wore white and red robes.

actaullay,futuwa means in arabic the stong man who defends the poor,weak people they aslo had their infleuce on the markets by punishing gready traders,they were paid by the people of the city to defend them from criminals,so the people loved them,they didn't join the late abbasid army cuz they were very local and very light and amateur men they weren't skilled fighters,they were like oraganized gangs but not criminal gangs.the futuwa made unrest in baghdad in 1255,they and the sunni people of baghdad committed many attacks on the shiites as a reaction on the shiite attacks on the sunni population of alkharkh,several hundereds of people were killed in this incidents by both sides,the last abbasid caliph almustasim disarmed futuwas and other armed forces existed in baghdad during the mongoloian siege,cuz hulaqa sent to the caliph to disarm his soldiers and demolish the city walls, and the caliph did that in order to spare his people when hulaqu enter baghdad,but hulagu didn't fullifil his agreement with caliph,his troops sacked baghdad for 40 days,most of the population has been slaughtered including futwas
