    Hello Ramtha, that sounds like a cool modification. If you upload it here, I will make a link for it on the main page with the other links.

    If anyone else would like to make their own minimods, I would be happy to feature them here. I think it would be great if players could download different features and customize the mod to their liking right away.

    Just dled it today, gona take a look o.O

    One small problem though, I can't get it to launch. I save it to to the MTW2 folder right? Or do I have to go in one more?

    Attention: Here is the New battle system:

    aztec units are very weak, but they have incredible numbers in their units.
    Their lower class inf has 60, and their highest class coyote priests, jaguars, etc.. has 40.

    All low class infantry for other factions have 40, then going higher up 30, 25, 20, 15, and the highest - dismounted knights and elites are at 10, swiss pikes, swiss guards, and other elitist pikes get only 6 in a unit.

    All peasants are at 60 and are very very worthless..as it should be.

    Elite archers are only at 15 men, horse archers at 9-14.

    Highest class cavalry at 10, and generals bodyguards at 6.

    Mid class cavalry at 15-25, and lowest cavalry at 40-50.

    Even though something like dismounted feudals have only 10 they still defeat a unit of 40 spear militia quite easily.

    Cavalry charges are drastically weakened to impliment charge-slam-engage/melee. Therefore infantry no longer get killed with their whole unit in one charge, and will fight the cavalry in melee. If the elite sword infantry is fighting an elite cavalry in melee, cavalry will win to make it fair.

    Pikemen and halberdiers no longer form spearwall or have secondary weapons, now they use pikes the whole time, are better against cavalry, fight balanced against infantry, are mobile, offensive as well as defensive, not bugged, and the AI performs better with them.

    Archers and crossbows weakened greatly, aventuriers for example may put up a good fight against low class infantry, but get annihalated against dismounted knights.

    Morale tweaked to impliment chain routing, and a realistic morale system...no more seeing men fight to the last soldier before routing, now they will have real morale settings.

    All defense skill increased drastically, and hit ratios cut in half, this makes melees last WAY longer.

    Elites now destroy non elites without even trying.

    Slowed unit speed down by 25%...more strategy this way.

    And Here is the Fantasy:
    All factions renamed to a completely made up faction, thus implimenting a fantasy world.
    Units have been renamed to get rid of real names, thus they all are fantasy.

    Try to imagine this as a different planet perhaps?

    Also I made saxons use mongolian voices - much preferable over english...
    and normans use southern european voices - much preferable to england...

    But to use the new names and unit names, you need to delete in your text folder...
    export_units.txt.strings.bin and expanded.txt.strings.bin

    For later versions I wish to rename all the religions and make a new concept out of them.

    Thanks kelvin.

    I forgot to tell you guys that it also speeds building times up to the way they were in vanilla, so citadels only take 4 turns to build when you can build them which is relatively fast.

    So gundug if you could include this note when you move my mini mod to the OP.

    Looks like i'll be seeing a super mod with the 2 of you working on it. Who knows? Might make it to twc's headlines! I have great faith in what the 2 of you can give twc's fantasy fans

    I will eventually get to renaming all the units, religions, texts, and cultures to make it truly feel fantasy world.

    The pope is now known as the "Overlord" by the way... not bad huh?

    k I have suffered a really nasty game freeze/crash after the background of my campaign map turned into the colors/picture of the map editor...

    really really wierd, anyone else?

    yeah forget my previous post, I think it was just caused by hitting alt+tab then typing in a bad cheat...

    You need to open it with Notepad
