ive tryed most mods and DLV and TLR are probably my favourites but i was thinking of maybe tryin this one.
so what makes this one so better/different from the rest then?

SV is great because:
1. A Late Era Campaign is available.
2. New great factions are added:
County of Anjou, Kingdom of Naples, Aragon, Armenians, Bulgarians, Serbians, Genoese, ...
3. Great new units:
Vlach Cavalry, Nakharars, Provencal Men at Arms, Aspets...
4. BBB and Heraldry is added
This is why I like SV as the best M2TW mod out to date.
Almost forgot! It is also very historically accurate and is very stable compared to other mods.

Under the patronage of John I Tzimisces
I like it because of many of the same reasons Drtad stated, and it also feels more immersive due to the historical setting. The map is also good, not big, but it feels the right size.
SV made a great work, because he controlled any single aspect, with historical reference, of his two campaigns... Easy to install, very steady with litte CTD (and saying this of Medieval 2, is indeed a hard thing to tell ), every faction is re-textured in a much better way, and with so many nations to play you can start a new campaign with different strategies.
Worth playing? No. you will NEED this!
