    Default Expanding the map to the west?

    Greetings once again, mappers.

    I have a simple question: After allowing earlier boats to sail down the coast of Africa, it's occurred to me that the starting map does not make this sail all that easy (one must move the boat bit by bit). I was wondering how to make this less annoying, as well as including the coast of Africa in the mini-map. I'm sure the map dimensions are located in a file somewhere, and I know "the world is round" event expands them, but I don't know how to alter the starting condition.

    amending the type of sea colour in map_ground_types should solve the first problem I believe and adding

    restrict_strat_radar false

    near the start of the campaign script file will remove the bit that blocks out the coast on the radar map (you can see later on that the world is round bit issues this command) eg add it in after the start up bit right at the start of the script. eg

    ; ---------------------
    ; start up
    restrict_strat_radar false
    freeze_faction_ai aztecs
