    Default Finally it's here: Ghost helmets FIX v1.2

    Change log
    v1.2:
    A bug has been spotted by Werner von Urslingen that some of the units will miss their head from a long distance because of the missing lod2 model. Now it's fixed.

    v1.1:
    A tiny bug of this fix has been spotted by me. The bug is so tiny that it could hardly be discovered by anybody. I could only say that maybe you'll find a line in the middle of their face if you look very closely but most probably you still can not notice that. Anyway it's a bug caused by milkshape3d. I've fixed it. v1.1 also will improve the performance(less lag).

    Well, I think most people here, if not all may be aware this bloody model bug:

    The head and helmet is separated from the body and float in the air, like a ghost.


    Now it's fixed. I've redone the neck part of all those bugged models. It's a plain fix with nothing else changed.

    Installation:
    1, Extract the Ghost_helmet_fix.zip
    2, Put all file(s) in your game directory.
    3, using io switch:
    add:
    Code:
     
    [io]
    file_first = true
    at the end of your medieval2.preference.cfg file and set it to read-only.


    If you would like to include this fix in your mod feel free to use and don't ask for permission. But it would be kind of you to mention my name in your readme.

    I've tested most of the units but not all. So if there's any bug please report them here.

    ehm...there is another unit with a similar problem...have you ever looked at the throat of the upgraded feudal knights?

    Feudal_knights_ug1 does not use that kind of ghost helmet. And their problem is much smaller So I let them stay in their way.

    yes its ok, thanks it finally makes plate units look good. dont know why CA didnt fix it after 2 patches.

    well....the feudal knight upgrade thing is quite disturbing for me ... I can't make good screens of dieing knights then...

    er...actually it's another fix, rather than a bug.

    The one bugged is vanilla game and I fixed it. In vanilla these units are supposed to have this torso texture but CA missed it in model and I put it back...

    hmm, ok. It looked like a bug since they're just plain white torsos for every faction. Sorry, nvm.

    Thank you for this fix zxiang1983, but I think it has another bug: Looking at a distance at some of the fixed models, their head is suddenly missing. Could you please take a look at it?!

    Sorry for the poor-quality picture, but I had to take it with my mobile-phone camera, because the bug is not visible on normal screenshots...
