Peasants still trouncing spearmen :(
My russian spear milita(fully upgraded) are consistently losing horribly to peasants, with kill ratios massively in favor of the peasants.
A. How can I fix this, seeing as the spearmen already have much higher stats than peasants?
B. Has anyone tried giving the phalanx ability to regular spearmen to see if that makes them any better versus infantry and cavalry(IMO, anticavalry units dying en masse when charged by cav has to be fixed for the game to make any semblance of sense)

early spearmen always were massacered by a frontal cavalary charge. You can't make milita spearmen win against knights.

I'm not so sure of that.. all the evidence seems to suggest that horses do not like to run into pointy sticks. and even halberdiers and pikemen die in big ol piles
