Templar faction can be destroyed ?????

ATM Im playing as templar faction, and in the event cards, it says
that templars are being destroyed/ disbanded by the pope in CA 1300 AD
(this are only apears when you get the Templars guild)

My Q: is/are the templar faction gonna be dismissed/destroyed after that date.?
I have not played the templars that far ATM.

by the way im playing SS 3.2

I havn't even notice this message that templars will be destroyed in 1300...
Well, of course, they won't be destroyed atomatically after this year.
Nevertheless, I think I'll change this event text accordingly...

Would make for a hard campaign to win as the Templars.

The Seljuks and Sultanate of Egypt already took them apart in my Russian campaign though

Hey i know what u mean mrkk. Yes its true, they were dismissed. Pope said they were worshipping devil and such classic medieval ********. Then they burnt to death hundres of them including their chief. They did this because templar order at 1300 was very very rich and french king needed money for wars.

What it the Templars were simply auto-excommunicated after 1300? A crusade against them would simply add more "spice" to the game.

, gogo Daniel Brown and his ******** books (however i read all of them). However it would be great, if pope in 1300 made crusade against you. I like spice.
