I want a Children of Hurin movie or TV series, though they might have to rename it to something like "Sons of Beor" so people would have an easier time pronouncing it.
Any idea if this mod is compatible with the Divide and Conquer campaign map (not the full mod)?
Just a little update:
I've started work on this now that finals are over. I have to start from scratch because don't remember how I made the mod in the first place, so I re-learned how to make mod...
I never uploaded a Steam version.
I didn't plan to abandon this mod, but I was having so much trouble with this website that I sort of gave up. I never formally gave anyone permission to alter my...
Yes, that's normal. The screenshots on the front page are outdated.
I have no idea what's wrong with the black Macedon version... I fixed the problem a few pages back and the download looks normal to me. I don't know what to tell you guys :(.
Thank you! I'm going off historical evidence where possible, but also using my own judgement to make certain factions look less ridiculous (Parthia, for example) and keeping variety between the...
I don't know much about the user.script.txt method but Mod Manager is just a replacer for that, isn't it? Give it a try and see if it works. If not, I guess you need Mod Manager.
They look like the current screenshots of Macedon but their uniforms are black instead of white.
It works for me and I have every Radious mod installed. Are you sure it's checked in the Mod Manager?
Side note: I think I'm just going to muscle out the remaining factions and have one final...
I increased the saturation in the most recent update.
Because Sacred Band uses a unique clothing model that isn't affected by the uniform color changes. I'd have to go to that specific unit and remove/retexture the purple sweaters.
Hmmm, I hadn't thought of Celtiberian tribes. I think I'll do them next.
It should apply to all units except ones with unique clothing models such as Carthage's Sacred Band.
Any suggestions on what group(s) I should do next?
Woah, that's a serious mistake. I don't know what happened. Fixed and reuploaded.
Sorry for the confusion :(. Let me know if you guys find any other problems.
P.S.: Sorry for the long wait....
I can't ask anyone to do that. The screenshots on the front page are 90% accurate to the current version and those are the only official playable factions. Most of the other factions are rarely seen.
I was considering doing them next but there are A LOT of celt/gallic factions, and currently GTA V is occupying a lot of my time :(.
I'm sorry, but I just don't have the time to devote to taking screenshots of every single faction. I have the playable factions on the front page as a sample, but I now have over 30 recolored...
Mod updated to version 3.0. African factions are now added.
Not sure what group I should do next. I think I might wait on CA to release Seleucia and the nomad culture pack before I touch those....
No. It says so in the first post.
I was probably uploading the new version right as you were downloading. Try again.
The Black Macedon pack makes Macedon uniforms black instead of white.
Updated the first post with a disclaimer.
This sounds like a great idea. How about "Ages of Man: Total War," since that is where the term "Bronze Age" comes from.
From what I found, their colors were light blue, purple and yellow. My mod is mostly similar except I took out yellow and replaced it with a dull brown. I tried making the colors more vibrant but...
Thread updated with a new version. New Marcomanni colors and a black version of Macedon, though it doesn't look THAT different than the white version and I completely forget what vanilla looked like.
I'm using PFM, but honestly I don't know how to use it really. I just ended up clicking random things and made a mod.
Any other mods that edit skins will conflict with this mod.
Hmmm, I have no idea. I'm using vanilla R2TW with only Natural Dyes and Radious' mod pack. Are you sure it's checked in the mod manager?
The color tables allow you to put in three colors and the game randomizes them. There is no way to have Roman shields red 100% of the time unless I make all three colors red.
Wow! Thank you!
Hopefully CA can take some hints from this mod and others.
I was considering doing this from the start, so that most of the barbarian factions would have some of the same occuring colors, but I tried to add more personality to each tribe. In retrospect, I...
Yah, the sources I found labeled nearly Hellenic/Greek group as fans of red and white, but I figured it would be ridiculous having half of the playable factions using the same color scheme. Rome,...
This is a little difficult because of how Rome 2 handles uniform colors. Basically all I did was change the three original colors to something more appropriate and the game randomizes them across...
I had the Macedonian color scheme as red/white/black at first but changed it to red/white/white after looking at some historical sources. I also found a lot of sources claiming that red/white/white...
That's good news, but I'm afraid it's far too much work for me at the moment :(.
Alright, new version is up with some previews. I was too lazy to go grab screens of all the Germanic factions, but I'm going to touch them up later anyway.
Are you using Mitch's "Rome 2 Mod Manager?"
That might be the issue. I'll update the thread. Uploading the new version as we speak.
