Re: Rome2 vs RSII - Where are we?

    lol rome II.

I wouldn't even torrent that crap.
The RSII mod is as good as it gets for the Roman-themed Total War series.
EBII had some promise to it but AFAIK that mod is dead.
  2. Re: Freedom Under the Kings of Syracuse (Chap 1)

    Keep it up bro.
Try not to abuse slingers tho, IMO they're pretty game-breaking.
  3. Re: Is there a submod that shows extended details on units?

For the first question I don't know if you mean right-clicking on units to get all the stats and the historical detail. Or if you mean the EB recruitment viewer, If that's the case then I'm afraid...

Re: Hardest factions to play ?

Hmm, I agree that Bythinia looks quite the challenge but IMO some tough campaigns would also be Massalia or Syracuse.
And that's because they're both 1-settlement kingdoms, and both are at the...
  7. Re: is roma surrectum coming to rome II total war?

I doubt the dev team would bother making a mod for a crappy unfinished game like RII.

    Re: Advice on Carthage

I have only one piece of advice for a Carthage campaign:
Withdraw Hannibal from northern Italy ASAP. It's a money pit trying to hold against dozens of roman legions turn after turn, no matter how...

Sticky: Re: Economic System, explanations elusive?

    Good to know.
I'll never bother with those markets and farms again.

Sticky: Re: Economic System, explanations elusive?

I've been wondering about this myself.
So there's no reason to build those tax% buildings unless I have a high enough pop already? Welp.

Anyway, just a quick question to the staff. Is there any...

Re: Aren't romans too armoured ?

If you want to beat the Romans at infantry grindowns then AP infantry is your friend OP.
Pin them with whatever rabble you can. Once they're engaged, chew their flanks with AP infantry (or cavalry)....

Re: AOR units and foreseen changes:

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to dvk901 again."

    ... lol?

This incredibly awesome news. This mod is THE masterpiece of modding for RTW.
  13. Re: Love Roma Surrectum Campaign but Battles takes way to long - Any fixes ?

Let me guess. You're trying to win battles by pointless infantry grindowns right?

Don't do that bro. Bring cavalry to the party and Hammer-and-Anvil the  outta the AI.
    Siege engines and...

    Re: Is the AI different?

I've noticed that the BAI is no longer the predictable, suicidal and plainly idiotic BAI of Vanilla.
True, it still sends it's General head-first into your phalanx, it flanks with a single light cav...

    Re: Siege Battles: Unbalanced?

You bring siege engines to the party, son?
Make dedicated 'Siege' armies, with some 3-4 engines.

Some nice Stone Throwing Ballistae on flaming rounds will chop down at least an entire units worth...

    Re: Roma Surrectum 2.6 patch

    Hmmm, polybians still have testudo.
    Just a heads up.
