  1. Re: What do you want TW Warhammer to be like?

Jeff van Dyck is just a better composer than Beddow. Admittedly, I think some tracks in Attila are Beddow's best work so far, but they can't compare to M2TW, or Shogun 2, especially Fall of the...

  3. Re: What do you want TW Warhammer to be like?

While that sounds like a fun game, I wouldn't even consider it a Total War game.

I think it likely that Total War War War War War Hammer War Hammer Hammer War will be about as much like Rome 2,...
  4. Re: CA wants to put 20 units only again, let the option "large army", let people make their own choices!

Ahh, those two pictures are a good comparison, and show where we differ.

I think it more epic to see 14,000 men battle in a field so massive that it dwarfs them. Like in Sins of a Solar Empire,...
  5. Re: CA wants to put 20 units only again, let the option "large army", let people make their own choices!

    Oh.

Well I already think they look good individually. There's enough variety among units to not notice the clones most of the time, and they aren't so massively detailed that they take up too...
  6. Re: CA wants to put 20 units only again, let the option "large army", let people make their own choices!

I don't see the difficulty with it at all. Not from a technical standpoint, at least.

Each individual unit has a captain, who has a name and ages, and who will have a separate experience pool...
  7. Re: CA wants to put 20 units only again, let the option "large army", let people make their own choices!

I definitely disagree. I've never gotten the sense of a massive engagement from, say, Star craft or Warcraft or any such thing. Even with Mount and Blade the battles feel small, and I've increased...
  8. Re: CA wants to put 20 units only again, let the option "large army", let people make their own choices!

It's incredibly simple to mod, Im not really upset. The choice would be good, but all it does is save a minute or two.

They look garish, but so does everything in Warhammer.

I just ignore the stupid stuff in Warhammer. A catapult that launches goblins in tiny gliders?

  11. Re: So what will make this game different than CAs game Viking Battle of Asgard wich came out in 2012

Yeah, I've played Viking. Definitely not similar to Total War.

    Rock Paper Shotgun Interview

    http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/06/19/total-war-warhammer-units/

Sort of. It's a little thing, but does have some promising points. Honestly, nothing really factual, just what, "battle...
  13. Re: TW: Warhammer and King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame

    Text-based, choose-your-own-adventure quests.

That is what CA can learn from it. By far the best part of King Arthur was the role playing aspect.
  14. Re: MOS, the ultimate TATW experience.. version 1.7 Bugfix 2 released 04-05-2015

Might have already been addressed, but is Dol Amroth supposed to have a custom city on the campaign map? It's just a regular castle for me.
  15. Re: [GENERAL DISCUSSION] [SPOILERS] HBO's Game of Thrones Series

    I :wub:ing hate cliffhangers.

I did not like this episode. I didn't particularly care for this season in general, honestly. You could really feel that they ran out of books to work with, and...
  16. Re: If Sauron and his armies had conquered Middle Earth, what would they have done with it?

Well, it is as you said. They are evil due to the way Morgoth holds his dominion over them.

In many places, orcs are not under the direct control of Sauron. Like, the Misty Mountains orcs. Here...
  17. Re: If Sauron and his armies had conquered Middle Earth, what would they have done with it?

I believe I saw a quote just earlier today in TATW that said something along the lines of, "The orcs went forth to pillage and rape and war" or some such. It seems to me that Tolkien generally...
  18. Re: If Sauron and his armies had conquered Middle Earth, what would they have done with it?

I never made the claim that Sauron was good, just that he wasn't necessarily evil. Or, at least, didn't start out that way, just like Melkor.

I don't mention this as an excuse for their actions,...

    Re: RIP Sir Christopher Lee

  20. Re: If Sauron and his armies had conquered Middle Earth, what would they have done with it?

Good thing I found this before starting a new thread. I have been pondering this myself lately. Hypothetically, Sauron wins, drives out or exterminates or corrupts all the elves, enslaves the...

Honestly, Attila is probably closer to Westeros than Warhammer is.
