For those things I support more a thing like edicts or toggleable "techs", down to province or city level. "Do you allow such things in this city or not?" Depending on religion, culture and other...
I would argue that instead of forcing a single building slot on the building system, or the frankly bad "specialize your cities, limited slots per settlement", the cities should be able to merge too....

Just asking, the old age limits still stand on the engine? And, does the new scripting capabilities allows to for kill (any) characters with certain trait? Like say, a merchant with the trait...
Would you consider a 12 turns per year with everything slower?
Can always just reduce movement points for everyone and do smaller provinces.

Ladders should be destroyable by the defender if the attacker leaves them alone. Kind of like how towers work, with a influence area.

I think the siege rework migth be a step forwards. Its not what I would have done but again they are the multimillion business that loves cutting corners to save some dimes and Im just a regular me....

Wow! Finally someone implemented pop mechanics like I always dreamt about.
No on the last one. However they can recruit faster with yet another modifier to recruitment (don't know if a "negative" bonus is applicable).
Perhaps some graphical or ram issues.

I would add the ability to add more construction slots for cities like recruitment of units.
In med 2 you could recruit more than one unit at the time, as in multiple slots. They are using med 2 engine, or recreating it from the rome one... so it should not be that hard, at least at first...
Well, is nice to have that recruitment/building turn discount effect. More slots would have been better in my book. Maybe latter they will do it.
