Ah, so the negative law also means more base corruption in every city? Hm, that'd put a dampener on the economy alright.
I mean if it increases happiness by just as much and still reduces corruption it doesn't seem to matter much...

According to this screen, building the library will reduce corruption, but not increase law. There doesn't seem to be a difference...
Well, it certainly made life more interesting for me for a while, having to fend off multiple full stacks, but I'm glad it's optional. I had no idea, I was just clicking the advisor to zoom to the...
I thought I'd come back to this and ask how exactly the mechanic in the first post works. My new campaign is going well enough, not without its setbacks but I'll manage - however, after Taxila did...
Erg. Well, turning off autosaving sadly didn't help so I guess that's out. And permissions seem to already be locked to "allow" for everything, so that doesn't appear to be the problem either.
Hm, come to think of it autosaving can be turned off, so I suppose if I do that I can continue that campaign with the old manual save. Bit of a shame that was after Antioch's full stack, but at least...
Guess that campaign is lost. Crash on ending turn, crash on loading a quicksave, crash on loading an autosave...
Well, I've calmed down a bit now. I suppose it wouldn't have been half as bad if it wasn't for the crashing. Loaded an earlier save anyway, and this time beat the sally and got the city without...
I don't know if this is XC or actually just a vanilla feature I never saw before but it's complete .

I originally laid siege...
That fits what I saw at Tomi, but Byzantium was a mystery - it had no Eastern Civilized influences apart from one of the neighbouring regions. Unfortunately I don't have the save so I can't take a...
Ah, darn, didn't think of undeleters. Oh well, this new campaign is going pretty well with everything I learned from the old one.
Hm, can I edit posts? Don't see a button for it.
The uninstaller backup-copied the xc5 saves, but deleted the xc4 saves, so I gotta restart my xc4 campaign. Guess it's just the sort of thing that...
The uninstaller uninstalled xc4 rather than xc5
At first I thought it was the most recent or highest level colony, but I just took over Byzantium as Parthia and got massive unrest from Western Civilized Culture, despite not having built any colony...
It's right there in my building tree and seems to have straightforward requirements, but it never shows up in my building list. Is it mutually exclusive with some other building not listed in its...
Thanks, good to know - probably unlikely the rebels can take out whoever defeated the original romans, but maybe with console commands I could still see what'd happen.
Or am I just out of luck? I'm playing as Parthia so I dunno that my stuff will be affected that much but I'll miss fighting the Legionnaires towards the end of the campaign.
Though it does look like a fairly simple edit job of data/export_descr_buildings.txt
These forum loading times are pretty gnarly. What I wanted to write is something like so:
Sorry, forum won't let me post whole thing and I've no idea why.
The pace of battles in vanilla is also very satisfying, with cavalry charges making a sizable dent in enemy numbers immediately, so...
I'm looking for... hm, perhaps it'd be easier to say what I liked and disliked of the mods I've seen:
[list]
The bright colors in vanilla RTW appeal to me, and I'd rather stay away from the more...
