Sticky: Re: Empire Realism - Feedback and General Discussion

Im affraid there is no chance to add things from newer games into ETW. Only benefit it has, that now i have some completely new ideas about certain features, which i could adjust. I can look into...

Personally, i think extending the dory to almost 3 meters, was exactly to get third rank into fight. I also think actual Pike Phalanx was a further development of hoplite phalanx, with spear getting...

    Re: Para Bellum

it is actually the opposite - overarm is not useable in tight formation. you have no space to move spear around, so unless you leave it like that entire battle, it would be not possible to get a...

    Re: Para Bellum

Thing is, Dory was unsuitable for overarm grip.. it was weighted towards rear, which clearly suggest it was held there. if you have to hold spear in the middle, you need counterweight to keep the...

Only problem is that overarm grip for infantry is unrealistic. It is just not possible fighting like this for any extended portion of time, while even getting spear into such position would be...

Mod is not compatible yet with latest patch. We are working on having it sorted out very soon, just need some time to finish it off. Some things needs to be completely reworked and that takes time.

Re: Prussians are a bunch of sissies .....

True. Experience plays absolutely big role. probably the biggest role on unit performance. I would rather had 5exp militia unit, than 1exp Maison du Roi...
  9. Re: Rome II Total Realism - Beta Feedback and Suggestions

no, small sword icons are given to melee units, and due to how autoresolve works, i had to change class for all hoplite units into melee units instead of spear units. Spears get defensive bonuses,...

Re: What would it take for YOU to forgive CA?

single thing - Troubleshooting tools for modders... that's the most painful thing about this game if you want to make mods.

  20. Sticky: Re: [Release Announcement] R2TR CLXXII BC version 2.1 has been released!

  21. Re: How the Gauls were so effective against the Greeks?

  22. Re: Rome II Total Realism - Beta Feedback and Suggestions

polybolos is portrayed as arrow shooter, while scorpio is bolt shooter. Bolts have much higher kinetic energy, while arrows should be faster to reload. Anyway i will check the polybolos, thanks.

  29. Sticky: Re: [Release Announcement] R2TR CLXXII BC version 2.1 has been released!
