As Portugal at 1185, the game crashes to a black screen but I can see the mouse but can't get out of the game or back in, and it always occurs on Poland or Syria's turns.

I say that from personal experience, as I'm American, and I bet I could go and ask my friends what countries are in Iraq and they wouldn't know anyone but the USA, I guess I just generalized too much.

Kinda depends what your style is, I like building up and letting the AI build up. So I recommend Portugal or Scotland, because they are pretty secluded and you can build up pretty easily without that...

I feel my money was well spent, I enjoy playing Medieval 2, especially with mods. Of course, I never played the first MTW so I can't miss any of the old features.
