Re: [PREVIEW] New Changing Traits System

If they don't it'd probably be historically inaccurate - we're talking about a culture that cooked food with lead to give themselves "martial spirit" ;)

Re: How do you appoint governors?

Thanks for the explanation. What building do you need to recruit dignitaries?
  3. Re: Will this mod work with the current patch? Or by reverting Rome II to beta patch 15, 16, 17 or 18?

Thanks for the reply, though 17 or 18 is a bit vague ;) . Not sure i can be bothered trying installing one after the other to find out. Will maybe just wait for the next release. Looking forward to...

    How do you appoint governors?

I can see AI Roman governors in their provinces, but i can't work out how i'm meant to appoint any myself as Carthaginians.
  5. Re: How do you upgrade units equipment after researching Carthaginian thureos and thorax reform tech advances?

Ok thanks both of you - i have read some of the text guides, but i have a strong aversion to videos - seem like a waste of time watching them, when with a text manual or guide you can go straight to...
  6. How do you upgrade units equipment after researching Carthaginian thureos and thorax reform tech advances?

I've researched the Carthaginian thureos and thorax reform tech advances, but there doesn't seem to be any unit i can upgrade the equipment of, even in provinces i own that i have barracks in? How do...

Sticky: Re: [Feedback] Questions, Critiques and Requests for 1.2

Not sure - i've played more Attila than Rome II - but you could well be right - there did seem to be units appeared out of nowhere late in the battle in one Attila battle when i'd routed all the ones...
  8. How can you get Numidian mercenary cavalry as Carthaginians?

EDIT - nm - found out you can get them as mercenaries in Numidian client state provinces

Sticky: Re: [Feedback] Questions, Critiques and Requests for 1.2

I agree that wars were decided by a few big battles - but the AI tends to bring as many stacks as possible to a battle in Rome II and Attila, and can only have as many stacks as it has generals, so...

Sticky: Re: [Feedback] Questions, Critiques and Requests for 1.2

Since if recruitment costs were lower and income higher the AI could have bigger armies - and more of them too - the same as the player, i don't see why restricting army sizes and numbers so much...

Sticky: Re: [Feedback] Questions, Critiques and Requests for 1.2

This is a great mod in almost all ways except one. It costs too much to recruit units (even with the reduced costs and upkeep mod)and starting income is too low, resulting in historically major...

Will this mod work with the current Rome II patch? Or by reverting Rome II to beta patch 15, 16, 17 or 18 on steam? P.S Thanks for making this - sounds really good

Poll: Re: Total War : Warhammer and sea battles

There were landlocked factions in every historical Total War too - and the way they got a fleet was to capture some ports (except in crazy Rome II with it's instant-warship-transports).

  18. Re: If I knew nothing about the Warhammer universe...

The Warhammer background is actually pretty good (only thing i hate is what they did to turn orcs and goblins into bad cartoons from the 1990s on). It's the Total War side of it that's likely to let...

based on Rome II there is no chance in hell of this being "the best strategy game in years". Likely they'll do a Rome II again - some fancy graphics in the adverts, then it'll have the same engine as...

How accurate did they need to be though, to hit just a big unit of close formation soldiers? Surely unless they fired over their heads they'd find it hard to miss?

Re: Buy rome with or without addons

Personally I'd advise you not to waste your money on Rome II. It's simply inferior to the original Rome Total War in everything except graphics - and mods can't fix many of the things lacking in it...
