nah i stopped preordering when rome2 came out
This is going to be really interesting see how it will turn out. Either it will be a glorious return to form, or either they will jump through all the hoops to make it as similiar to a mix of...
You mean when you are traveling with suitcases to another place? It would require a bit of keeping a guard, depending on where you are. it is indeed different when you are with 4 friends and you can...
The golden era seems to be the Medieval 2 and early Empire "hype" days. I know a ton of new members (including me) signed up during that period, with a lot of veteran modders being active.
Those...
Great post. Basically it all boils down to "the AI needs to be fixed" (which is already a criticism since Empire, or actually since the start of the series). But it's very nice to see it well...
Yeah honestly that was the first thing I thought too, already when they announced Warhammer 1 with so few factions and the big hints at expensions... It was all thought out from the beginning. Can't...
Not sure since I don't have that issue, but can you go to lists and select an army? maybe it auto follows it and shows up on your screen.
I have a different problem with Date btw, I don't see any...
Stop preordering games please. I'm in the same boat as you but the only way to give CA a clear signal that their business practices and killing mods are hurtful to us, is simply not buying it,...
Same. the general gaming media has shown time and time again they don't understand total war games and it's intricacies. They only see huge battles and a pretty campaign map and go *10/10, awesome...
How did you learn the korean language? Did you follow a training there?
One week before release.. and lets be honest here: this subforum is basically dead, it's a graveyard. Compare this to the release to Empire or Shogun.. it was total chaos on the forums back then,...
Little interest so far from me. Actually since the release of Rome 2 I have had very little interest in any CA game.. I just play Medieval 2/Empire/Napoleon/Shogun2.. that's about it. I don't...
Download works fine here..
but the install doesn't. It gives an error and says the filename uses an invalid syntax, probably due to all the l' and the 'e'e (lol I can't even type that on my...
Wow, that is alot quicker than I expected... Time to lower my expectations once more I think.
Not gonna pre-order, i've fallen for the sly promises of CA once too many now.
I had a hard time as Epirus aswell.. best way I found to begin is just stay ultra defense on the first 10/15 turns and just defend. You will prob have Rome/Macedon/Sparta/Athens raiding your lands....
I gotta admit I haven't played Rome 2 for like in a week.. Sure ive been playing GTA V instead but I also didn't really have the urge to go back to Rome 2. Which is crazy for a new TW game because...
Wow, I didn't know there was so much  on Company of Heroes 2. Is it really that bad?
Steam will download it automatically.
Total War has, as the name implies, always been on the focus of war/expending. The Europa Universalis is more economy/building oriented, while war plays a lesser role there. Always has been, probably...
That's a pretty cool site / school project.
Just bring cav. Split up army. Mop up slingers with cav army. Win.
C'mn guys, dont be silly. You know how to deal with it, you are just too lazy to bring the army :P
Lol no. Like CA can make a better game than King Kong and his team with the Third Age.... . :thumbsdowCA will only ruin it.
Yeah in my campaign cartage gets wrecked by romans/syracuse/african tribes. all at the same time. Also the client don't don't do anything. Libya just sits around waiting at the midterranean sea,...
The city of Rome should be looking like a barbaric mud hut if the player was a germanic tribe and coverted it.. this isn't about realism, this about creating your own history.
I pretty much agree 100% with OP. You can just feel that Napoleon shines the best with this engine, closely followed by fall of the samurai. Those periods are just excellent for warscape. Tha'ts why...
That is really lazy from CA.. what were they thinking? Even in medieval 2 it worked!!
So this is like the new realm divide?
Agreed with everything you said. I do think however the AI is the biggest problem, and I can't; see CA fixing that.. i mean they said they put so much effort into developping a new AI or something,...
Well not really OP kinda has a wall of text there.
AJ :thumbsup2
Curious to see your review, based off all reactions I think it's gonne be quite the thing.
Rome 2 has been out for a week now, what has happend in that time and how is everyone doing? Still playing your campaign or did you uninstall the game already?
I guess my own thoughts are that I'm...
Great video. I regret that I was too weak to not pre-order. Will definatly not do that again though!
Awesome work dude. So many factions to choose from :D
I didn't even know there were faction leaders.... I just don't care about my characters anymore.. no personality whatsoever. I don't care if my general dies, ill take the next one, hes as good as any.
Aye I fully agree. Shoutout to the modders for me aswell :)
I really hoped they would go back to Medieval 2's fighting mechanic for Rome 2. It feels so meaty and there's a sense of weight to it. In Rome 2 it looks like everyone is a light as a feather.
in Shogun 2 factions got destroyed right? Even if they had an army somewhere.
It only happens to me when the AI loses their last settlement. They just go mindless attack on you, even if you have a full 20unit stack defending. Even if there's an empty settlement a region...
Wow that looks amazingly good. I would really like that alpha UI.
